PSV fans furious over the height of FC Bayern Munich: ‘No European football’

1 min read

Over the past and a half weeks, the upcoming transfer of Ismael Saibari to FC Bayern München has been frequently in the news. Saibari is currently preparing for the 2026 World Cup with Morocco following a strong season with PSV and next season will no longer be seen wearing the PSV kit.

Het Eindhovens Dagblad reports that this week a top-level meeting took place between the delegation of PSV and that of the German powerhouse. Also present at this meeting, it would seem, was Saibari's agent, Ali Dursun.

''In the past he has already guided many major transfers and has a good relationship with the clubs'', the ED writes about Dursun. Der Rekordmeister is reportedly willing to put at least fifty million euros on the table for the midfielder.

PSV is aiming for a sum of at least 53 million euros including bonuses, which means the amount could therefore rise further. ''One thing is certain: all parties want the deal. PSV is aiming for a little more than the 53 million euros, including bonuses, that Bayern has promised. In addition, the amounts must be paid out in the way PSV wants'', the newspaper writes about it.

Both clubs are planning to finalize the deal only after June 30, when the 2026/2027 season officially gets underway. ''In total, a fixed amount of 48 million euros and a bonus of 5 million euros were promised. The latter amount can only be secured by PSV if a number of conditions are met. In any case, there is already talk of an absolute transfer record and sums on the table that appear difficult for PSV to refuse,'' reads the analysis from Eindhovens Dagblad.

For many PSV fans, the amount of the transfer fee mentioned in the news is an eyesore. On X, there is comings and goings of criticism directed at the PSV board, which would be asking for too low a transfer fee from the German club. Attention is drawn to Eintracht Frankfurt, which does not play European football but has nevertheless received an unprecedented multi-million euro bid for a young, inexperienced defender from FC Bayern.

'You’re not getting it right again… Just a little above 50 after they’ve just agreed with a Beckie from Frankfurt for 65m. Brown is his name, a player most people have never even heard of from a club that doesn’t even play European football. At least 65, and otherwise get out!', it sounds on X.
