International meanwhile is again thinking about the arrival of Ivan Perišić. At least, that’s what Italian media reported over the weekend. PSV would like to keep the Croatian under contract, but the question is still whether the 37-year-old Perišić himself has other plans.
Perišić was still in action on July 3, 2026 at the World Cup in the round of 16 against Portugal. After his elimination, the 37-year-old forward received extra vacation time due to his late international commitments. Italian media, at least Tuttosport, thinks it knows that there is a chance the Croat will submit a transfer request to PSV.

i swear every season there is a new fear he retires, then he drops another masterclass. If PSV are planning for a midfield press, Modric just slows the game and makes it hurt.
World Cup loss to Ronaldo aged him, but he is still playing almost every match under Allegri. That tells me Milan dont have a proper replacement, not that he is finished.
i get why Amorim keeps him, but lets be real, Modric at this age needs the right rotation. if PSV go aggressive early, he might be less of a problem than people think.
"sticking on for another year" sounds right. But i still think his end product will drop if Milan lose the ball in transition too often, he is not the runner like he was at Real.
Not gonna lie, this is wild news for Milan. If Modric is still doing it at 40, PSV midfield better be ready, because that slow tempo control is exactly what top teams want. 👀
Not gonna lie, i get why Allegri got sacked, but Modric still looks levels above midtable chaos. He clearly adapts role by role, thats the real skill.
