Busy transfer summer expected for PSV: “The champion has already made contact with both players.”

1 min read

PSV is almost certainly going to lose Ismael Saibari to FC Bayern München and, partly because of this, the club is also getting involved in the transfer market. In addition to Saibari, PSV will also let Anass Salah-Eddine go and it also appears that Sergino Dest is on the radar for a transfer.

These three players are now preparing with their country for the World Cup in North America. The chances are fairly high that all three will be playing after the World Cup in a different shirt than the red-and-white of PSV.

Because of this, there is a possibility that PSV will approach FC Twente and NEC. PSV would like to strengthen its squad with left-back Mats Rots from FC Twente and midfielder Kodai Sano from NEC.

''"PSV is expected to quickly switch gears and enter the transfer market itself to secure the desired reinforcements'', writes PSV watcher Jeroen Kapteijns of De Telegraaf on the website of that same outlet.

Captain also names the names of Rots and Sano as players in whom PSV would have interest, and that PSV would have already contacted to take both players over. ''Mats Rots (FC Twente) and Kodai Sano (NEC) are prominent candidates to give the squad an upgrade. The champions have already reached out for both players, PSV sources say'', the PSV watcher said.

"De kampioen heeft zich voor beide spelers al gemeld" sounds like we are already on the phone with Twente and NEC. But im not convinced they can get both without selling more first. tbh id rather keep Dest as option and then go all-in on one real starter.

"PSV will naar verwachting snel doorschakelen en zelf de transfermarkt betreden" finally some urgency. If they move fast after the WC, thats how you beat the competition. Let's go PSV! 🚀⚽

"De kampioen heeft zich voor beide spelers al gemeld" klinkt mooi, maar meldt zich zijn geen transfers. Twente gaat prijzen vragen, zeker omdat Rots belangrijk is. En NEC met Sano laat zich ook niet zomaar dumpen. Geven ze echt het geld vrij of wordt het vooral hoop? 🤬

This is the part where everyone starts pretending its "kampioen business" 😂 But selling three and shopping at Twente and NEC is a tricky combo. Hope PSV doesnt end up patching holes with players who only shine under one system.

If PSV really have already contacted both Rots and Sano, that is smart business. Rots feels like a proper left-back solution, and Sano could add control in midfield, but we need a clear plan for Dest's role too.

If Bayern really comes in for Saibari, i get why PSV moves fast. Mats Rots for left back would be a clean fit, maar Kodai Sano sounds more like depth and control for the midfield. Hoping they dont overpay just to replace names quickly.

bruh Saibari naar Bayern is echt een klap... en dan meteen Mats Rots en Kodai Sano targeten. i like the idea, maar alleen als het niet weer een 'mid-season plan' wordt.
