Status Salah-Eddine: ‘PSV has received clarity’

1 min read

Last summer, PSV signed left-back Anass Salah-Eddine on loan from AS Roma, and Salah-Eddine developed into an important link for the team of Peter Bosz. PSV would therefore like to take the left-back over permanently from the Italians.

In recent months, several media outlets already reported that PSV definitively wanted to sign the Moroccan international. The club would have to transfer an amount of eight million euros for that.

After months of negotiations, PSV has now been told by the left back that he will not return for the time being. With this news, De Telegraaf comes out.

Salah-Eddine wants to prove himself in Italy and go for his chance with AS Roma. ''PSV has received clarity from Anass Salah-Eddine and been told that the player at this moment wants to go for his chance with AS Roma'', writes De Telegraaf.

At this moment, Salah-Eddine is preparing with Morocco for the 2026 World Cup. The left-back, just like Ismael Saibari, has been selected for the World Cup squad of the North African country.

After the World Cup, the Moroccan international will join AS Roma and prepare for the 2026/2027 season. Afterwards, a decision will be made about where Salah-Eddine’s future lies.

"PSV heeft uitsluitsel gekregen" ... so PSV did their part, now it is on him to return the favor. Still, 8m and then no deal feels like a potential waste of leverage.

Brutal timing. If he is going to Roma after the WC, PSV better move for another option in the summer instead of relying on his decision.

8 miljoen voor een linksback en dan krijgt PSV te horen dat hij voorlopig bij Roma wil blijven... bruh dat is frustrerend. Wel snap ik zijn gedachte, bewijzen in Italië en dan pas kiezen. 😅

8 million for a left back and then he says he wants to prove himself at Roma... tbh i get it, but PSV shouldnt get stuck waiting. We need plans B asap.
