Premier League Spaniard offered to PSV; also defender of FC Bayern mentioned
1 min readSpanish media report that a Spanish defender, appearing for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, would have been offered to PSV.
It would be about Hugo Bueno, an experienced Spanish player. Hugo Bueno is currently also attracting interest from Celta de Vigo. That reports Mundo Celeste. Bueno may leave Wolverhampton Wanderers, which has since been relegated from the Premier League.
Also the Eindhoven Dagblad reported last week the news surrounding PSV and Bueno. The 23-year-old Bueno was loaned by Wolves to Feyenoord in the 2024/25 season. Last season, he made 35 appearances in the Premier League. Wolves finished in last place and were thus relegated to the Championship.
Bueno therefore counts as a former Feyenoord player and was born in the Galicia region, the north-west of Spain. The La Liga club from his home region is looking for a new left-back and in the meantime has set its sights on Bueno. According to Mundo Celeste, there are currently no concrete negotiations. Bueno still has a contract in England for two more years, so there will have to be a fee paid.
PSV and Earnie Stewart are urgently looking for a new left-back following the departure of Anass Salah-Eddine to AS Roma. Adam Aznou from FC Bayern Munich is already being mentioned, as is the free agent Filip Kostic, who played for Juventus.

Adam Aznou van Bayern klinkt aantrekkelijk, maar ik ben nog steeds fan van het idee dat we een echte linksback moeten halen in plaats van een project. Als Bueno verkocht kan worden door Wolves, go for it, maar dan moet Stewart ook lef tonen in de deal.
Tbh, Bueno is oké als back-up, maar ik snap die link niet met het niveau dat PSV nu moet halen. 35 PL-wedstrijden zegt ook niet automatisch dat hij in goede vorm was bij zo'n Wolves die helemaal instortte. Als we gokken, dan liever voor een speler die direct wint in duels en voorzet. 💀
Celta ook al in beeld, tbh dan is de kans groot dat er concurrentie is en dat Wolves geld wil. Toch vind ik het wel logisch, want hij speelde 35 keer in de Premier League. Dat is minimaal geen onbekende.
Hugo Bueno als linksback klinkt wel logisch, zeker omdat Stewart nu echt haast heeft na Salah-Eddine. Maar als hij 2 jaar contract heeft bij Wolves dan wordt het geen koopje... hij moet ook meteen kunnen brengen wat we missen. 👀

Hugo Bueno zou echt een praktische optie zijn, vooral omdat we met de Salah-Eddine transfer linksachter opnieuw moeten invullen. Alleen als hij uit de Championship komt, dan wil ik wel zien dat hij ook echt druk kan zetten en kansen opbouwt.
