PSV fan who Max Huiberts raised about outgoing transfers, and that Stewart 'only' made the purchases, can change his mind after French millions.
1 min readAt the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, PSV sold Ismael Saibari to FC Bayern München. Saibari started scoring immediately after the group matches began and, thanks to his goal-scoring output, he provided even more enthusiasm among the supporters of the German top club.
Fans of Bayern München were looking forward to seeing Saibari but, on the other hand, many PSV fans found it difficult to watch that Saibari would be sold by PSV for 'just' 50 to 55 million euros. For several days in a row, German media even managed to report that PSV would not receive more than 48 million euros for Saibari. This apparently left an unhappy PSV fan on X coming up with the idea that henceforth the sales at PSV should be handled by Max Huiberts, who was stopped at AZ.
Huiberts brought millions of euros into the till at AZ, as Stewart has been doing at PSV for some years as well. The disgruntled PSV fan at the time thought it was still a good idea to have Stewart make the signings at PSV. Meant as a joke, of course, and especially after the millions Stewart managed to wring out of things in both Turkey and in France, because the technical manager held firm in recent days regarding the desired millions for Nagalo and Obispo.
''The stilted negotiations were quickly smoothed out by Ali Dursun, the agent of the PSV defender. The clubs have just reached agreement in principle on a transfer fee, which could rise to around 5.5 million euros through bonuses, sources close to RC Lens say'', PSV watcher Jeroen Kapteijns of De Telegraaf reported about the transfer of Obispo to Lens, who did not want to pay what PSV wanted to receive. Stewart, however, stuck to the asking price.

PSV, however, wanted to receive at least €5.5 million, while the French had offered an amount between two and three million. In the meantime, it also seems that high-profile signing Adamo Nagalo is about to leave, which will also bring PSV more than four million euros. That suggests that around 10 million euros are on the way.
