Wim Kieft points to Noa Lang after Ajax transfer: ‘Total madness’

It will have escaped few people that Ajax recently sold midfielder Sean Steur to English club Newcastle United for 27 million euros. Former PSV player Wim Kieft fears the worst-case scenario for Steur at The Magpies.

This tells the former striker in the podcast KieftJansenEgmondGijp, in which the current analyst draws a comparison with Noa Lang. Lang left PSV last year for Napoli, but didn't manage to make his mark there, partly because of a difficult relationship with coach Antonio Conte.

Because of this, the team from Naples decided to loan out the forward for half a year to Galatasaray. ''When are they going to find out about it once and for all... Look, 27 million euros for Newcastle United is absolutely nothing. But when are you going to find out once and for all that when you give two nice little passes'', Kieft wonders out loud.

After that, Noa Lang comes up. ''I just read something again about Noa Lang. What has come of it? Nothing. She was bought for three figurines from a nice promotion. That's how it is, isn't it? It's total madness'', says the Amsterdam-born man.

According to the analyst, the current state of affairs in terms of transfers in the Netherlands is also not good for the level of the competition. ''And that Eredivisie is getting worse too. Everything that could become something, even just a very small amount, gets taken away. And what do you bring back'', Kieft said.
