1 min readEarlier this week, news emerged that striker Sami Bouhoudane would leave PSV and continue his career with promoted SC Cambuur. Now Lars Lambooij, the club’s technical director from Leeuwarden, reports that Cambuur does not have to count on Bouhoudane moving to Friesland.
This is what Lambooij says in an interview with Omroep Friesland. ''For PSV this is now not an option'', the technical director is clear to the local broadcaster.
Last season, the striker for Jong PSV scored seven goals in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and Bouhoudane’s contract still runs until mid-2027. Partly because of this, the promoted club became interested in the striker, who therefore does not receive PSV’s cooperation for a transfer to Friesland.

Cambuur dat afwachtend kijkt en dan zegt Lambooij "Voor PSV is dit nu geen optie"... nogal logisch. Als hij potentie heeft, wil PSV hem liever binnenboord houden en later nog ontwikkelen. 👀
Tbh begrijp ik PSV wel. Met contract tot medio 2027 en 7 goals bij Jong PSV is dat nog geen speler die je zomaar laat wegglippen.
Interesting that SC Cambuur thought they had a chance, but Lambooij is clear. With a deal running until mid-2027, PSV really can afford to keep him and develop him another step. 👀
Tbh "Voor PSV is dit nu geen optie" klinkt alsof PSV gewoon zijn plan wil vasthouden. 7 goals bij Jong PSV is prima, maar ik snap ook wel dat PSV niet zomaar meewerkt. 🔥
