PSV announces itself in the Premier League and immediately gets a reply

The real transfer whirlwind still has to break loose in the Philips Stadium, but that doesn’t mean the club behind the scenes isn’t working on the summer reinforcements, which of course will be coming.

The necessary PSV fans are especially on X already raising the necessary concerns because there is still little to no concrete news coming out when it comes to summer signings, but behind the scenes the club is already fully informing them.

PSV even reported itself in Birmingham, at Aston Villa, for a talented Dutchman who is making his way in the Premier League. At the same time, the club would already have backed out due to the hefty asking price. It concerns Lamare Bogarde of Aston Villa. That is what Voetbal International reveals on Saturday evening. The 22-year-old Rotterdam-born player, however, quickly proved to be out of reach.

Bogarde went through his youth academy at Feyenoord and made the move to Villa in the summer of 2020. There, over the past season, he developed into a valued player. Under Unai Emery, Bogarde made 44 appearances. The right-footer mainly came on as a substitute.

PSV saw Winston Bogarde’s nephew and Danilho Doekhi as an 'ideal player' to strengthen the squad, as can be read at VI. PSV inquired about Bogarde, who is being given a great future. The international from Jong Oranje, however, quickly proved to be out of reach. Villa wants to receive around 25 million euros, and Brighton & Hove Albion and Sunderland are concrete options.

Both clubs are now getting to work on Bogarde. 'And with that violence, PSV no longer can (and will) keep up,' they say. The Rotterdam-born player is still under contract with the Villans until mid-2028. An in-country transfer to Brighton or Sunderland is now to be expected.
