The Netherlands – Morocco and the fans of FC Bayern Munich

1 min read

It is definitely going to happen for Ismael Saibari, but we are still waiting for the final confirmation regarding the upcoming multi-million euro transfer of the Moroccan international to FC Bayern Munich.

PSV will receive, including bonuses, around 55 million euros for the star player, who intends to complete the last sixteen of the World Cup with Morocco at the expense of the Netherlands on Monday night. Whether that will succeed is something we ask ourselves, because while Moroccan football may be on an enormous rise, it still usually manages to fall short against a normally stronger Netherlands national team.

Many an analyst is now also looking forward to the match in Mexico. This also applies to ESPN analyst Kenneth Perez, who is more than eager for Saibari's matches in the tough German Bundesliga. Perez believes that Bayern Munich is the right choice for Ismael Saibari.

"A good choice? For who? For the treasurer? Sure, I think it’s a high amount", Perez begins. "For Saibari it’s great. Bayern Munich, man. That seems like exactly the kind of club where he can become even better."

The Dane thinks that the gigantic club from the south of Germany really has a plan with Saibari. "If they buy someone, it's not just for the sake of it, as you often see in the Premier League. He played for Morocco as a striker and I understood that Bayern are bringing him in for the left-wing position." Saibari has to compete with, among others, Luis Díaz.

FC Bayern pays PSV preferably 55 million euros including bonuses for the Moroccan. Saibari has recently already reached a personal agreement with the Germans. The PSV player would meanwhile already have been medically examined in the United States. The expectation is that the transfer will be fully completed in early July.

Meanwhile, fans of FC Bayern München are also stirring up on social media. The match between the Netherlands and Morocco is being seen by our fellow countrymen as extremely interesting. Fans of FC Bayern, but also the major German media outlets such as Kicker and BILD, are getting ready for the clash between the Netherlands and Morocco, in which one of the two countries could also just as easily become Germany’s opponent in the quarterfinal. In the meantime, FC Bayern fans on X are hoping, very eagerly, that Saibari, the new star player of FC Bayern, will knock the Netherlands national team out.

Whether there is more fear of a confrontation with the Netherlands national team from Germany cannot be ruled out, but the fact is that the German national team has not yet made much of an impression in the United States. 'Eliminate the Netherlands,' writes an FC Bayern fan on X about Monday night's match. 'Saibari will immediately make his mark against the Netherlands as a player of FC Bayern,' writes another fan of the southern German club. 'Holland raus, Ismael,' posts another fan with the FC Bayern logo in his profile.

Those late-game substitutions were a bit sus tbh. Give the youngster minutes earlier so he can actually settle, not rush the last 10.

I think the big takeaway is squad balance, especially in midfield. If PSV dont rotate sooner, the legs drop and the structure breaks, then it becomes a sprint game they cannot control.

The quote about using the half-spaces makes sense, but im not convinced we have the runners doing it consistently. Tillman/Cazares type movement has to be constant or it turns into sideways passes and nothing more 👀

"we need to be brave in buildup" yeah ok, but brave cant mean careless. If the back line holds too high, its always gonna turn into chaos in the box 💀

tbh i liked the idea, but the article makes it sound simple. Midfield still looks too open when the fullbacks push up, and teams will punish that quick. Need better cover in transition imo

"we have to be more brave" ok but bravery without control is just chaos. I want to see better distance between Sangare and the fullback, they keep getting dragged out.

If PSV keep playing like that in the build-up, i can see the midfield getting overrun again. Also, that press trigger decision felt a bit late, especially when the winger tucked inside.

If PSV are going with this pressing plan, i want the wingers to jump earlier, otherwise they get turned way too easily. Cody and Ismael have to be on the same timing, no late steps 🔥⚽
