Suspected starting lineup against FC Twente | The PSV of the 2026–2027 season is visible
1 min readNext Sunday, PSV will play at its home Philips Stadion the final league match of the 2025/2026 season. Peter Bosz's team plays at 14:30 against FC Twente, which is still fighting for a spot in the Champions League qualifying round.
As expected, coach Peter Bosz will not make any changes to his starting lineup against the Tukkers. Last week, Bosz's team won 1-4 away at Go Ahead Eagles without Ismael Saibari and Joey Veerman from the kickoff.
Saibari is dealing with an injury, while Veerman has minor complaints and the question is whether both players can take the field on Sunday against the team coached by John van den Brom. Last Sunday against Go Ahead Eagles, Veerman’s place was taken by the young Belgian Noah Fernandez.
In the back, it looks like Bosz is choosing the same names as in the Adelaarshorst. This means that Matej Kovar will start in goal and that he has a four-man defense in front of him consisting of Kiliann Sildillia, Ryan Flamingo, Yarek Gąsiorowski and Sergiño Dest.
The midfield will most likely be made up once again of Noah Fernandez, Paul Wanner and Guus Til. This means that Ismael Saibari and Joey Veerman will not appear from the start and may even not be included in the squad.
Up front, Bosz also seems to be sticking with three World Cup-bound players. Esmir Bajraktarevic will start from the right flank, while Ricardo Pepi appears to be starting in attack and Ivan Perisic will begin on the left wing. As a result, we can already cautiously see the PSV of the 2026-2027 season in action in some positions against FC Twente. This applies in particular to Gąsiorowski, Fernandez, Wanner and possibly Bajraktarevic.

Perisic links, Bajraktarevic rechts en Pepi in de spits... dat is wel een serieuze forward-line. Hopelijk maken we die front meteen af, anders wordt het een lange middag. ⚽
Als het echt Noah - Wanner - Til wordt, dan verwacht ik veel lopen maar minder controle. Is dat de bedoeling tegen een Twente dat nog voor CL-ticket vecht? 🔥
Als Veerman en Saibari niet starten, dan is dit eigenlijk een flinke test voor onze controle. Fernandez, Wanner en Til moeten dan de duels winnen op het middenveld, anders wordt het een lange middag. Go Ahead was 1-4, maar Twente is wel een ander beest.
Noah Fernandez weer in de basis, eerlijk is dat best logisch na die Go Ahead-wedstrijd. Maar zonder Veerman en Saibari gaat ons tempo wel anders worden, dus ik ben benieuwd of Til genoeg creativiteit toevoegt. 🔥
Kovar in goal, oké, maar ik hoop wel dat we snel druk zetten. Twente gaat echt niet komen om te verliezen, dus dan moet die achterlijn meteen scherp zijn. Dest als RB lijkt me prima, zolang hij ook durft door te schuiven.
Kovar weer in doel, prima. Maar Sildillia, Flamingo, Gąsiorowski en Dest als achterlijn voelt nog een tikje wisselvallig, zeker als Twente druk gaat zetten.
Geen Saibari en geen Veerman in de basis en dan toch "geen wijzingen" he... Tbh ik ben bang dat we tempo in het middenveld missen. Noah Fernandez moet het dan maar meteen waarmaken.
