Bosz doesn’t beat around the bush: “He still needs to improve in a number of areas.”
1 min readIn the summer of 2024, PSV signed Couhaib Driouech from Excelsior for 3.5 million euros. Over the past two seasons, the 24-year-old left winger has mainly had to make do with substitute appearances.
According to coach Peter Bosz, the wide forward has made progress in the past two seasons. ''He has now been with us for two seasons and he has already improved enormously,'' Bosz said on Monday evening in Rondo on Ziggo Sport, following a question from tablemate Wim Kieft.
However, the coach also adds a caveat. ''He still needs to improve in a number of things. He always has a threat, but he is still young'', Bosz continues.
This season, Driouech scored two important goals at Anfield in the historic 1-4 victory over Liverpool. He was also the author of a world-class goal in the match against Napoli (6-2).

Even success coach Guus Hiddink did not hold back his opinion about Driouech. ''He should be a bit calmer in the penalty area. When he comes close to the penalty area,'' said Hiddink.
