Portuguese media: 'Contract of Luuk de Jong with FC Porto not extended'

Last summer, Luuk de Jong made the switch from his second spell at PSV to FC Porto after three seasons. In November, disaster struck the striker when he suffered a serious injury that has kept him sidelined ever since.

Because of this, it seems the club will not be looking to extend the contract of the 35-year-old striker. With that news, the Portuguese outlet Zerozero is coming out.

The outlet reports that the former PSV captain is dealing with private problems and, partly because of this, De Jong would want to return to the Netherlands to be closer to his family. The forward would, according to Zerozero, be returning to his home in Eindhoven.
