Curaçao selection hopes for a longer partnership: “In the end, it’s your own decision”
1 min readThe selection of Curaçao would like nothing more than to continue with former PSV coach Dick Advocaat as national team coach. The Blue Wave, with PSV defender Armando Obispo in the squad, was eliminated from the World Cup after a 0-2 defeat against Ivory Coast, but despite that, the island’s selection is praising Advocaat.
This makes Eloy Room, who was under contract with PSV between 2017 and 2019, aware during a press conference after the match against Ivory Coast. ''I want him (Dick Advocaat, ed.) to continue'', Room is adamant.
After that, the goalkeeper goes on to discuss how Advocaat is as a coach. ''In the end, it's his own decision. He already has a long career behind him and above all a very fine one. We must give him the time and space to make a decision. Of course, we want to work with him. He is a great coach and has achieved a lot'', so the goalkeeper concludes.
