French medium knows more about FC Bayern Munich’s interest in Ismael Saibari
1 min readDevelopments surrounding the upcoming transfer of Ismael Saibari to FC Bayern München are also being followed in France. Naturally, this has everything to do with the earlier but certainly concrete interest of Paris Saint-Germain in Saibari.
The Paris club has in particular closely followed Saibari’s activities at PSV over the past six months. That is reported by a source close to the French club in conversation with PSV Inside. Saibari also shone in the home match against FC Bayern in the final group game of the Champions League, but he also showed his class against Feyenoord. Paris Saint-Germain therefore became genuinely interested, but saw FC Bayern München act more decisively in recent weeks.
The Parisian interest has therefore also calmed down, because the South Germans want to quickly arrange the transfer before the start of the World Championship. In France, some French media are still keeping a close watch on developments around Saibari. The French football outlet Footmercato has even managed to report what amount FC Bayern Munich has offered for Saibari.
'The 25-year-old Ismael Saibari has once again impressed this season at PSV Eindhoven. The Moroccan international put up outstanding numbers: 19 goals and 9 assists in 37 matches for the Dutch club. Thanks to these performances, he was chosen with a landslide as the Eredivisie's best player and, importantly, sparked a lot of interest ahead of the summer transfer window. Earlier, we already reported that Bayern Munich had shown concrete interest and that an agreement had already been reached with the player himself on a contract through 2030,' it is said from Paris.

'The only thing still missing was an agreement between the clubs. A few days ago, we announced that the player would undergo a medical examination in the United States to speed up the deal, while negotiations between the clubs continued. According to our information, Bayern Munich's first offer amounts to 45 million euros, plus 5 million euros in bonuses. However, PSV is expected to reject this offer, since the Dutch club is sticking to a asking price of 50 million euros excluding bonuses. The negotiations are still ongoing, but there is optimism about the deal being completed', Footmercato said about the amount of the bid from FC Bayern München.

Eens. If the inside runner gets the pass earlier, the chance volume spikes. Right now they sometimes wait half a second too long and the whole move dies. wingers should be braver, this is not a slow chess game. 🚀
I agree with the tactical point, but i think the biggest issue is tempo control in the final third. When the ball moves too late, our wing overlaps turn into slow passes and it becomes predictable, just watch how defenders set up.
"PSV Inside" feels spot on tbh. The best part is how they isolate the 10 between the lines and pull a midfielder out, it creates those quick half-space touches for the forward. But defensively, if the first press doesnt win it back, we get exposed at the back. 🔥
"PSV Inside" being honest about the build-up is exactly what we need. The way we recycle possession is fine, but we still get stuck too long between the lines, and teams like Ajax will pounce on that 🔥💀
Bro, in possession we still look a bit too predictable. When they said the plan was to stretch the fullback and go inside, thats nice, but only if the winger actually attacks the channel early, not after the defender is set. 💀
If PSV go with that high line again, i swear it only takes one counter to punish us. Tbh i hope the article is right about the focus on pressing triggers, otherwise this gets messy fast ⚽👀
If PSV are really going with that inside-the-box buildup, i hope the 8s push higher instead of sitting next to the ball. That midfield spacing is everything, otherwise it turns into one-way traffic and teams just clog the lanes. 👀
