Rik Elfrink targeted on social media: 'Well, fine'

PSV has a busy transfer summer ahead. Anass Salah-Eddine has returned to AS Roma, Jesper Uneken has left for IK Sirius FK in Sweden, and Ismael Saibari is set to leave for FC Bayern Munich.

It is also still a question what steps PSV will take in bringing in certain players. PSV watcher Rik Elfrink from the Eindhoven Daily Board also finds this out via social media.

Elfrink regularly says he is being harassed by impatient fans regarding the lack of transfers. ''Of course, some players are linked to PSV, especially in defense. But in my view, at the moment there is nothing really concrete yet. And all the anger from some people who don’t have patience… Well, fine,'' the PSV watcher says in the podcast Heet van de Herdgang from Eindhovens Dagblad.

Then the journalist goes into the impatience of some people. ''That is what’s so annoying about social media, you know. There are a few crazies on there, that’s what I call them—people who almost start insulting you on X if there isn’t any news. Then I think: 'how on earth is that possible, man? What drives you?''', Elfrink continues.

Nevertheless, the PSV watcher understands the concerns among some people. ''There are also people who simply worry. I understand that. They share it with good intentions. They see motion at other clubs, new players arriving, and think: 'will it all work out?' Well, Earnest Stewart has handled it properly for the past three years as well, and then the club became champions'', the journalist said.

Elfrink himself would never have made such a fuss about it. ''I would never worry about it like that myself. I see what’s happening. Just wait calmly until mid-July, or sooner or later, when there are concrete steps to report. That will surely happen,'' decides the PSV watcher.
