PSV fans lash out at Salah-Eddine after the transfer
1 min readIt had been in the air for a while, and in the meantime PSV has confirmed on Wednesday morning as well that the deal will not continue with left back Anass Salah-Eddine. Salah-Eddine, who is currently actively with Morocco at the World Cup in North America, returns to AS Roma to fight for his chance there.
The left-back came on a rental basis to PSV last summer and also made an excellent impression at the start of the season, which led PSV to want to take him over permanently from the club in Rome. Despite multiple offers, the defender decided not to go along with this and to return to Italy.
On the social media platform X, most PSV fans are not upset about the departure of Salah-Eddine, who is therefore making another transfer to AS Roma. A selection of the reactions:
Blijft apart van hem.

Ik denk dat hij zichzelf overschat. Hij is rijper dan 1 jaar geleden, maar floreert ook meer in een aanvallend elftal als PSV. In Italië speel je vaker met 5-3-2 (defensiever) en/of op de counter, volgens mij ligt daar minder zijn kracht

Wilde niet naar PSV maar naar AS Roma. Daar speelde hij niet dus toch maar naar psv voor speeltijd. En daarna weer wieberen. Apart wel.

Def not peak for PSV. If they wanted him permanently but he refused, ngl i prefer giving minutes to someone who wants to fight for the badge. 💀⚽
This one is on the player more than the club. Multiple offers accepted and still he chose to go back, so fair that PSV move on, especially with Marokko at the World Cup taking his focus.
Its funny because the early games made everyone think he was the left-back solution. But after the loan, it felt like he faded and then the final decision never came.
"keert terug naar AS Roma" ... so we basically did a season-long audition for them. lol
i get it, Roma will try to use him, but for PSV it feels like a missed chance. He had flashes at the start, then it didnt really stick.
Honestly, good riddance tbh. If he was never fully committed, why should PSV keep paying for uncertainty?
