Rik Elfrink harassed on social media: ‘Well, fine’

1 min read

PSV is facing a busy transfer summer. Anass Salah-Eddine has returned to AS Roma, Jesper Uneken has left for IK Sirius FK in Sweden, and Ismael Saibari is set to leave for FC Bayern Munich.

Additionally, there is also still the question of what will happen to Joey Veerman, Mauro Junior, and Sergino Dest, since this trio can leave Eindhoven for a fixed amount. The question also remains what will happen after the World Cup with Ricardo Pepi and Ivan Perišić.

It is also still a question what steps PSV will take in hiring certain players. PSV watcher Rik Elfrink from Eindhovens Dagblad finds out about this too via social media.

Elfrink regularly says he is being harassed by impatient fans regarding the lack of transfers. ''Of course, some players are linked to PSV, especially in defense. But as far as I’m concerned, at the moment there is nothing very concrete yet. And all the anger of some people who don’t have patience… Well, fine,'' the PSV watcher tells in the podcast Heet van de Herdgang of Eindhovens Dagblad.

Then the journalist goes on to discuss the impatience of some people. ''That's the annoying thing about social media, you know. There's a few crazies on there, that's what I call them, people who almost start shouting at you on X if there's no news. Then I think: 'how on earth is that possible, man? What drives you?'', Elfrink continues.

Nevertheless, the PSV watcher understands the concerns among some people. ''There are also people who simply worry. I understand that. They share it with sincere intentions. They see movement at other clubs, new players coming in, and think: 'will it all work out?' Well, Earnest Stewart has also taken care of it over the past three years, and then the club became champions'', the journalist said.

Elfrink himself would never have made himself so worried. ''I myself would never make such a fuss about it. I can see what’s happening. Just wait calmly until the middle of July, or a bit earlier or later, when there are concrete steps to report. That will certainly happen,'' the PSV watcher concludes.

No cap.

"Tja, prima" is echt zo'n Rik-zin zeg 😂.
