PSV gets a guard of honor from FC Twente: “That’s nothing more than normal”

Ahead of the match Ajax - PSV, both before and after the game there was, alongside praise, a lot of criticism of the fact that the Amsterdammers formed this ceremonial arch.
Van den Brom thinks differently about that. ''You show respect for the champion, that’s only normal. I expect that on Sunday it will be a great match between two attacking teams. We’re in good shape and we have confidence. And of course, with respect for PSV, we’ll go on our own strength,'' concludes the coach of the Tukkers.

"Dat respect heb je voor de kampioen, dat is niet meer dan normaal." Prachtige quote van van den Brom. Wel vreemd dat ze het in Twente zo normaal vinden, terwijl PSV altijd ook gewoon volle gas moet geven. Als wij aanvallend spelen is het mooi, maar niet in slaap vallen.

4-0 against Sparta en dan ineens erehaag for PSV? Lekker contrast lol. Ik snap dat Twente nog CL wil, maar dan moet je ook voetballend het verschil maken, anders is die "respect for the champion" meteen een excuus.

I actually dont hate the idea. Champion = deserve respect. Maar als PSV zelf agressief start, kan Twente's "attacking teams" plan meteen stuklopen. 👀
Respect voor Twente maar erehaag is gewoon een psychologische boost voor PSV. Van den Brom zegt dat het "niet meer dan normaal" is... tbh we moeten zorgen dat het geen feestje wordt voor jullie, not ours 🔥⚽
erehaag is altijd lekker natuurlijk, maar ik wil gewoon 3 punten. Twente speelt ook om CL, dus ze komen niet alleen voor "respect", ze komen ook om te prikken.
erehaag is voor PSV natuurlijk goed respect, maar hoop dat van den Brom niet denkt dat die wedstrijd ineens makkelijk wordt. Twente speelt aanvallend en als we slordig zijn achterin, dan prikken ze echt.
