Only a medical examination stands in the way of Sven Mijnans’ move to PSV. Mijnans is coming over for around thirteen million euros from AZ and will be PSV’s first summer signing.

Last weekend it became clear that PSV wanted to quickly complete the transfer of Mijnans. The midfielder was spotted in Eindhoven on Monday morning for the medical examination and will soon be presented.

On the social media platform X, many PSV fans are eagerly looking forward to the arrival of Mijnans. A selection of the reactions:

Im not convinced about the wide buildup if our fullbacks keep receiving facing back. That would make the chance creation too predictable, and you can see it when teams sit in the half spaces. Still, if Gakpo gets free early, its a different game.

"Inside" is nice but only if we do not overthink it. Against Utrecht it felt like we took an extra touch too many and slowed the chance down. Need that one-touch urgency, otherwise it becomes mid. 💀

Bro PSV always starts flying after that half-time switch. If the article is right about the pressing trigger, Schouten should be the key because he keeps the spacing clean.

If the plan is to press like that, then our pivot has to be brave. One slip and you get exposed straight away. tbh im not convinced the defensive cover is consistent yet, not against teams with quick switches. 🙄

idk why people keep questioning our buildup when we look at our best pattern: fullback wide, 8 in-between lines, and the 10 turning fast. Midfield discipline must be the focus, otherwise those inside runs get crowded. 👀

We need to stop acting surprised that PSV inside the box creates problems. If the article is right about the overload in the half-spaces, that is basically how we should play every match. 🔥
