PSV fan comes up with remarkable name as replacement for Saibari: 'Has worked with Bosz before'
1 min readThe chance is reasonably high that the transfer of Ismael Saibari from PSV to FC Bayern München will be completely finalized within a few days. For this reason, PSV will undoubtedly turn to the transfer market for a replacement for Saibari.
On the social media platform X, a PSV fan with the name @Jones_Psv comes up with a remarkable name as a replacement for Saibari. Under a post by PSV watcher Rik Elfrink, this fan mentions the name of the German midfielder Julian Brandt.
''Saibari, if I’m being honest, is the transfer that seems the most like a fun one, and he also seems very ready for it. Julian Brandt is available on a free transfer, and he previously worked with Bosz. Probably completely unrealistic, but he would be a nice replacement,'' writes this fan.
Brandt, 30 years old, is active for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and will leave the Ruhr region club after seven years without a transfer fee. Before that, the midfielder played for Bayer 04 Leverkusen from 2014 to 2019.

At that club, Brandt worked in the 2018/2019 season for half a year with the current PSV coach Peter Bosz, and Bosz ultimately guided Die Werkself to the main tournament of the Champions League. In the summer of 2019, Brandt then left for Borussia Dortmund and he will now therefore leave that team on a free transfer.
That PSV and Bosz are actually throwing a line out to Brandt seems unlikely, but none the less nothing should be ruled out. In October 2020, in fact, no less than former wonderkid and world champion Mario Götze arrived at PSV as a free agent, and in September 2024 PSV managed, once again, to pull a major surprise out of the hat by signing free agent Ivan Perisic.

Not sure i agree with the lineup choice, i think they left the defensive balance thin. Still, the attack looked dangerous when they ran in behind, so if they tweak one thing, like better cover on counters, PSV can absolutely turn this into a W. lets go! 🚀
Eens. If we can keep the tempo without losing shape, this XI is dangerous. But the moment we chase the game, we fall apart. Hope the coaching tweaks that asap 🔥
"keep the ball moving" is correct but its not easy when the second ball is lost every time. Gut feeling: PSV will drop points again if they dont win duels in midfield and protect transitions 💀
i like the intensity, but lets be real, finishing is what decides this. If that chance early had gone in, the whole game would feel different. Gotta stay ruthless up top ⚽
Im not convinced by the width without a real runner in behind. when the wingers stayed too static, attacks turned into passing drills instead of chances. Smh, we need more direct balls into the channels.
honestly the fullback positioning has been a bit shaky lately. i saw too many moments where the winger had a free first step, and that always leads to the same danger. fix that, then the front guys can actually play with confidence 👀
Eens. Goal!!
Defence looked shaky again when the long balls came. Thats where PSV always pay, not in the midfield build-up. We need more organisation around the box, otherwise its the same headache every year 💀
"more intensity in the final third" good, but where was it against low blocks? If they want that, they need earlier combinations and less side-to-side. Get the fullbacks higher, and stop giving the opponent easy counters 💯🤬
"The pressing starts from the front" is true, but that also means the striker has to work 90 minutes, not just 60. Today he looked like he got tired and PSV started moving the ball too slowly. Need more intensity off the ball for 2nd half control.
If PSV wants to win these games, they need the midfield to show up earlier. When the ball hits the wide areas late, Luuk style build-up just turns into chaos for the backline. Make it simpler, keep the tempo, and press from the front 🔥⚽
tbh X factor was the midfield press, when they triggered it they won the ball in dangerous zones. but if we play the same line vs faster counters, that midfield will get exposed again 🔥
That buildup sounded like it was meant to pin their pivot, but we still lose the ball too high. If we want control, we need better timing from the second runner. Otherwise it turns into chaos 🔥
Bro, that midfield decision sounded weird. When the article says they will be "more patient", i hope its not code for waiting until the ball dies in front of the box. Be brave, speed up the second ball, and let Luuk or the 10 actually turn on the half turn 👀🔥
"PSV Inside" echt lekker maar tbh ik wil meer duidelijkheid over Gakpo's role. Is he playing as a 9 for build-up or just hunting rebounds? 👀
If PSV go with that same narrow setup, teams just pack the middle and Isak... nah not Isak, you know what i mean, the front line gets isolated. I want more direct runs from the wide areas, otherwise its gonna be 1-0 vibes again 😅⚽
No way we can keep relying on those half-spaces if the fullbacks dont push with intent. Props to the press though, it looked sharp in spells, but once it drops we get exposed too easily.
If PSV really want to keep the ball like that, the fullbacks have to overlap smarter. Right now the space behind them looked too easy to punish, even when we had possession. 👀
