Peter Bosz praises Saibari after transfer to Ajax: “Come in otherwise”
1 min readIsmael Saibari has been able to call himself a player of FC Bayern München since last week. After a strong season at PSV, Saibari has secured his dream move to Der Rekordmeister.
Peter Bosz believes the midfielder waited for the right moment to leave at PSV. The current PSV coach says this in an interview with FCUpdate.nl.
''I find it a wise choice by Ismael that he has waited. He is 25, so I think Ismael comes into Bayern Munich in a very different way than a young player enters Newcastle. He comes in there differently than a whole young boy. He is an international for Morocco and has experienced the championship three times with PSV. I have seen him grow for three years, both as a player and as a person. I think he is now ready to join an absolute top club like Bayern Munich'', Bosz says about it.
That also points to the midfield player Sean Steur, who left Ajax for Newcastle United at the age of eighteen. Steur leaves for a fee of more than 27 million euros to The Magpies.
Bosz also saw his former stronghold play at the World Cup, where the midfielder mainly played as a striker. ''With us, he actually never stood only in the middle, but apparently he can do that again. He kept scoring and was important for the team'', said the coach.

"Komt daar anders binnen" is precies het punt. Met 25 heb je al ritme, drukervaring en prijzen, tbh. Bij Bayern gaan ze hem ook niet als project behandelen, eerder als directe meerwaarde. 👀
Bosz heeft wel gelijk over dat juiste moment. Saibari komt bij Bayern niet als hype maar als volwassen international, dat is een heel ander verhaal. Wel ben ik benieuwd hoe PSV Sean Steur ooit moet vervangen voor dat tempo en duel-energie.
Tbh ik snap wel dat Bosz zegt dat hij gewacht heeft, maar het voelt ook een beetje als pijnlijke timing voor PSV. Als Saibari bij het WK ineens in de spits kan spelen, dan ga je hem natuurlijk nooit zomaar terug in een vaste rol krijgen. Dat is Bayern DNA.
Bosz is echt klaar met die vergelijking met Steur bij Ajax. Saibari "komt daar anders binnen" bij Bayern omdat hij al bewezen is bij PSV, logisch toch? ⚽🐐
