Bakayoko swapped PSV for Leipzig last summer. The Bundesliga club paid eighteen million euros for the Belgian, but due to the competition from super talent Yan Diomande, he did not get much playing time. This summer, Die Roten Bullen may already be on their way to parting with him again. Fiorentina is already keeping a close eye, as La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
According to the pink sports newspaper from Italy, technical director Fabio Paratici of Fiorentina is busy drawing up a loan deal with an option to buy with the management of Red Bull Leipzig. Meanwhile, Red Bull Leipzig would be looking to agree on a fixed buyout fee of 20 million euros for Bakayoko in the summer of 2027. That is the same amount as PSV received from Leipzig for Bakyoko, who still has a contract in Germany until mid-2030.
Bakayoko was not called up for the World Cup squad with Belgium after a difficult season in Leipzig. The 23-year-old right winger could only manage twenty appearances in the Bundesliga, eight of them in the starting lineup. He scored twice. These are not entirely bad figures for a first season in a tough competition, but it will have to be better before Bakayoko can be seen as a regular starter at Leipzig.

"huurdeal met een optie tot koop" echt zo'n juridisch sausje. Als de afkoopsom 20 miljoen blijft en PSV exact dat kreeg, dan is het voor PSV financieel wel mooi rond. Nu de vraag: wordt Bakayoko ooit basisspeler, of blijft het een project voor clubs die doorverkopen?
Fiorentina lijkt slim, maar Paratici gaat natuurlijk voor rendement. Als Leipzig al denken aan 20 miljoen in 2027, dan zullen ze echt geloven dat zijn waarde kan stijgen. Tegelijk: geen WK-selectie zegt ook genoeg, 2 goals in 20 is ok, maar niet peak.
🔥 Dit is precies waarom we zo'n huur-koop circus haten en toch stiekem hopen dat het werkt. Als hij in Italië wél speelt, dan had PSV hem niet voor niks ontwikkeld.
Fiorentina die hem wil, oké, maar ik vraag me af wat Leipzig precies ziet: toekomst of gewoon doorverkopen. Als hij in Italië eindelijk speelt, dan was het "niet veel aan spelen toe gekomen" gewoon een slecht plan voor zijn ontwikkeling. Lmao, 8 in de basis en dan toch geen WK-selectie... die stap moet echt beter worden.
Diomande zat er dus bovenop en alsnog maar 20 Bundesliga-optredens, waarvan 8 start. Dat is echt net geen doorbraak, tbh. Ik ben benieuwd of Fiorentina hem meer vertrouwen geeft of dat het weer een stap opzij blijft.
Idk hoor, maar ik vind dit ook een beetje gek in de timing. Als ze echt 20 miljoen in 2027 willen, waarom dan niet nu meteen evalueren? 2027 is wel heel ver, en dan is hij straks misschien alweer een andere speler. 🙄

Hmm, die huurconstructie met koopoptie klinkt weer als een klassieker uit het PSV-wereldje. 20 miljoen in 2027 is niet slecht, maar ik vraag me af of Bakayoko nog wel stijgt met Diomande daarbovenop.
Bro, PSV incasseert 20 miljoen en krijgt daarna weer een nieuwe constructie... dan maar hopen dat het PSV-track record met talent verkopen klopt. Met 2 goals en 8 basisspellen op een zware plek is het niet mega, maar ik denk dat hij nog steeds hoger kan. 👀⚽

Tbh zuur dat Leipzig hem nog geen seizoen laat spelen en nu al weer gaat stallen met een koopoptie. Als Fiorentina hem neemt en hem wél laat knallen, voelt dit als geld waar we opnieuw indirect niks aan hebben. 20 miljoen afkoopsom in 2027 vind ik ook wel heel precies.
