Many praises for PSV’s man: ‘For me, he has been one of the best players in the Eredivisie for years.’
1 min readLast Monday, PSV player Ismael Saibari was named Player of the Year at the Eredivisie gala. Saibari managed, among other things, to leave teammate Joey Veerman and Ajax player Mika Godts behind in the race for this individual prize.
According to Ricky van Wolfswinkel, the striker who takes his leave as a professional footballer, it is more than right that this Moroccan midfielder has won this award. In addition, the former forward—among others for Vitesse and FC Twente—believes that Saibari has been one of the best players in the Eredivisie for a longer time already.
''I found Saibari to be the best player. For me, he has already been one of the best players in the Eredivisie for years. I also found him great again this year. Besides being a great player, he is also a great personality. That combination is also what makes him very well-liked by his fellow players'', says the former forward to Voetbal International.
According to Van Wolfswinkel, the current PSV player should therefore also earn a nice transfer this summer. ''But above all, his qualities stand out; this player is so complete. He deserves a very good transfer and has certainly also won the prize for best player'', continues the former striker.
In many talk shows, there is a lot of discussion about which league would be best suited for the Moroccan international and also Van Wolfswinkel speaks about it. ''To be very honest, some players just fit in everywhere. He can certainly succeed in the Premier League as well. This guy shows himself in every match, but especially in the top fixtures. That’s where he has always made the difference. That’s where the very biggest players are, of course,'' concludes the former striker.

Ik snap de hype rondom de Premier League, maar ik ben benieuwd wie die kwaliteiten gaat aanvullen in PSV. Met Saibari heb je tempo en lef op het middenveld, dat mis je niet zomaar. Maar ja, dit seizoen is het absoluut peak Saibari 🚀
"Hij is voor mij al jaren één van de beste spelers van de Eredivisie" ... tbh dat gevoel had ik ook. Alleen jammer dat er altijd twijfel is over waar hij heen kan, terwijl hij juist in topwedstrijden knalt 🤡
Premier League? sure, but will they get what he does vs big teams in Eredivisie, or will it vanish like some hype transfers? Saibari has been the difference-maker in the big games, so i wont cap. 🐐⚽
Premier League gaat hem wel liggen volgens mij, zeker omdat hij juist in de grote duels shows geeft. Toch ben ik benieuwd hoe PSV zijn vervanger gaat invullen als er echt een transfer komt. Als we hem verkopen, moet het beleid nu wel meteen kloppen, anders wordt het mid. 🙄

"zo compleet" is wel een ding, want bij Saibari zie je niet alleen acties, maar ook rust en keuzes. Ik ben het ermee eens dat hij in de topwedstrijden het verschil maakt. Maar als we eerlijk zijn, welke club gaat hem nu eigenlijk laten gaan voor een 'mooie transfer' zonder dat PSV direct een gat achterlaat? 👀
tbh i get the hype, but i need to see what "complete" means in PSV terms, defensively too. if we lose him this summer, we better already have the replacement locked. 100% respect to Saibari though.
Transfer zegt iedereen, maar ik wil eerst zien wat PSV ervoor terugkrijgt. Saibari is zo compleet, maar je moet wel een vervanger pakken die meteen kan. Anders ga je hetzelfde seizoen stressen als je hem kwijtraakt 💀

Echt terecht dat Saibari Speler van het Jaar pakt. Veerman en Godts achter zich, dan heb je gewoon de impact gehad in de Eredivisie. En Van Wolfswinkel die zegt dat hij al jaren top is, dat klopt gewoon. 🔥
Van Wolfswinkel heeft gelijk, Saibari is geen hype-speler maar gewoon constant. Vooral tegen de topteams maakt hij het verschil en dat zie je zelden zo vaak. Dit soort prijzen zijn dus verdiend 👏
Eindelijk iemand die Saibari gewoon compleet noemt. Dat hij Veerman en Godts achter zich laat zegt genoeg, topjaar. Ik denk echt dat hij in de Premier League niet verdwijnt, hij oogt volwassen in de grote potten 🔥
