Naah, i think the biggest issue is the balance when the striker drops. We get the chaos in midfield and then it takes too long to reorganize. fr, i want quicker rest-defense after turnovers. 💀

Seems like the article is hinting at a more direct transition plan, and ngl that fits the current squad. Still, PSV should be harsher in the final third, because the buildup was there, the finish was the problem.

"PSV Inside" is leuk, maar ik wil weten wie de nummer 9 gaat zijn in echte duels. Zolang die niet constant dreigt, voelt het als kansen maken en dan missen.

I liked the way they rotated the front line, but the finishing still needs to be sharper. Give them a couple more chances like that and PSV should be punishing teams, not just edging it. 🔥

"PSV Inside" should be a banger if they keep this intensity. If Til keeps finding those pockets, its going to look unfair. W.

"more vertical" yeah okay, but please dont leave the back exposed 😂. If Simons gets time between the lines, its a wrap... but if the press is late, we will pay. Thoughts?

The pressing trigger mentioned in the article makes sense, but tbh PSV have to be disciplined with the first pass out. If we overpress, we end up chasing the ball 30 seconds too late. 🤬

Im sorry but the midfield shape looked mid at times. When the build-up bypassed the 6, we lost the rhythm and the transitions turned into a problem.

"Inside PSV" saying the fullbacks are key feels spot on, but only if they dont leave the half space open. 👀 If the winger cuts inside, thats where it gets scary fast.

If PSV went with that press, i hope they keep it up for 60+ minutes. Without the second ball, they looked shaky after winning it.

Tbh that lineup quote about being "more vertical" sounds nice, but we all know it can turn into chaos if the 6 is not protecting the spaces. I want Guardado to be brave with his passing, not just safe sideways balls. Defenders looked shaky last time we tried this style, so im nervous.

Wennen weer met de kleine ruimtes denk ik. Als Veerman en Tillman niet slimmer in de halfspace stappen, gaat het weer stroperig. Zie PSV dit vaak tegen blokken.

Gut feeling is that the tactical setup depends too much on one winger beating his man. When that switch doesnt happen early, we look mid. Can we demand more from the fullbacks in build-up? 🔥

If PSV really wants to control games like this, i hope they stop giving away cheap transitions. Midfield needs to stay tighter to protect the center, otherwise itll be open season for the counters. 👀

If PSV are really going to start pressing higher in those buildup moments, i hope Benitez is ready for the counter attacks. Xavi Simons on the half-turn could be lethal, but only if the fullbacks dont get caught too high. This could be peak if the midfield holds the line.
