Bosz sees a point for improvement in the mainstay: “He has become calmer there.”

After a modest start at the beginning of this season, Ismael Saibari grew over the course of the year into an important driving force for PSV. Thanks in part to a number of strong performances in the Champions League, there is a chance that the midfielder will leave at the end of this season.

So this season, Saibari was, among other things, good for goals in the Champions League against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (1-1), Napoli (6-2) and FC Bayern München (1-2). In addition, the midfielder scored a hat-trick at De Kuip against Feyenoord (2-3) and took center stage in the home match against FC Utrecht (4-3) with two goals and an assist.

Despite this, former PSV player Wim Kieft thinks that Saibari could still get much more out of himself. ''Do you sometimes have to keep Saibari on his toes?'', Kieft asked Bosz on Monday evening in Rondo on Ziggo Sport when the former footballer said that Saibari could get more out of himself.

With that last one, the current coach agreed with the born Amsterdammer. "Me too, but he does have drive. Really," Bosz replied.

According to former coach Guus Hiddink, Saibari has improved in finishing his chances after Hiddink discussed Saibari's physical condition, which has often been called into question. ''Guus, people said that about him. But if you see him in the nude, he's a lump of muscle. I found it in his finishing, in that final phase, restless. He's become calmer there'', Bosz replied to Hiddink.

After that, the current coach goes on to talk about his midfielder. ''He is really good technically and physically. With experience you will start to see and understand it better. At first I thought I was getting a right winger. Then you watch it and you find that it’s actually an attacking midfielder. He has the technique and he sees it—that’s a great quality,'' concludes Bosz.
