Scottish clubs must report to PSV
1 min readIt will probably not have escaped anyone that earlier this week news came out that the transfers of defenders Armando Obispo and Adamo Nagalo did not go through. Both seemed to be on their way out of PSV, but at the very last moment, things changed.
Obispo is meanwhile connected to the PSV squad that is now on a training camp in Germany. In contrast to Obispo, Nagalo will not join the squad and a solution is being sought for the Burkinabè international.
With regard to Obispo, the French newspaper L'Équipe reported that the transfer of the defender to northern France has nevertheless not yet been ruled out. However, the perennial Scottish rivals Celtic and Rangers FC would do well to join PSV for the defenders.
The substitute editor Dylan ter Laak of the FootballTransfers outlet. ''Now the transfers of Armando Obispo and Adamo Nagalo have been agreed, it offers opportunities for other clubs. They can take advantage of the deadlock that has arisen and thus strike for the full-backs. Data from SciSports shows that it is the two Scottish top clubs Rangers FC and Celtic that should now be knocking on PSV in order to get a transfer over the line,'' Ter Laak writes on the FootballTransfers website.
According to the editor, Obispo would be an excellent option for Rangers FC, the club where former PSV coach Dick Advocaat experienced many successes. ''The Curaçao international, according to the data analytics firm’s figures, scores a Club Fit of 84 with the Scottish top club. Rangers’ playing style fits perfectly with Obispo, who also works well in Glasgow in terms of the setup and has a view of enough playing minutes'', said Ter Laak.
Nagalo would then be a suitable option again for Celtic, the green-and-white club from Glasgow. ''He even scores a Club Fit of 89 in SciSports' Career Advice Tool. In the case of Nagalo and Celtic as well, there is a perfect match in terms of playing style and even in terms of the formation. For the defender, it is also reassuring to know that there is a prospect of enough playing time—something that has been lacking for Nagalo in recent seasons,'' the editor writes about the surplus PSV defender.

"Nu de transfers van Armando Obispo en Adamo Nagalo geklapt zijn"... sure, maar PSV bepaalt uiteindelijk de prijs. Als Rangers en Celtic slim zijn, melden ze zich snel, anders blijft Obispo gewoon gewoon in onze plannen en komt er geen deal.
Nagalo niet mee naar Duitsland, dus daar wordt duidelijk aan de uitgang gewerkt. Celtic dat een "Club Fit van 89" zegt, klinkt leuk, maar PSV moet wel eerst een fatsoenlijk bedrag of ruildeal krijgen. Anders gewoon laten rijpen en doorselecteren.
Obispo naar Rangers, zeg ik niet eens nee. Met Advocaat-gevoel en hun speelstijl zou hij daar sneller stappen kunnen maken. Maar ik hoop dat PSV zichzelf niet weer laat overrompelen, want Schotse clubs gaan natuurlijk proberen te winnen op de timing.
Obispo erbij op trainingskamp, dat voelt toch als een soort statement. Maar Rangers dat hele verhaal met die "Club Fit 84" gelooft... we zien het pas als hij echt speelt voor ze. Voor PSV is dit wel handig als er nog een echte bod komt.
Nagalo niet mee op trainingskamp, dat is toch wel een duidelijk sein. Als PSV geen versterkingen meer wil en hem alsnog laat vertrekken, dan graag wel voor een fatsoenlijke deal. Anders vind ik die impasse een beetje zonde.
"Celtic en Rangers FC zijn die nu aan zouden moeten moeten kloppen bij PSV" - ok maar wie laat eerst weten wat PSV wil qua prijs en salaris? Obispo scoort 84 op fit en Nagalo 89, sure... maar voetbal is ook contractgedoe. Als ze te laat betalen gaat hij gewoon geen kant op.
Gehehe Celtic en Rangers die zich moeten melden, tbh klinkt alsof Obispo ineens "beschikbaar" is. Maar PSG? nee wacht... dit ruikt naar PSVs onderhandelingen die net op tijd draaien. Ik ben benieuwd wie uiteindelijk écht doorschuift en wie gewoon blijft.
