Rik Elfrink sees an interesting development: “I think that transfer fee is probably going to be in that direction.””
1 min readFor the necessary PSV'ers, the coming month will be all about the World Cup in North America. Among others, Esmir Bajraktarevic may be able to turn in high marks, according to PSV watcher Rik Elfrink of the Eindhoven Dagblad.
This tells the journalist in the podcast Heet van de Herdgang from the ED. Bajraktarevic personally fired Bosnia and Herzegovina into the World Cup by scoring the decisive penalty in the play-off final against Italy.
Elfrink therefore also expects that interest in the Bosnian winger could increase when the PSV player performs well at the World Cup. ''Of course a Bajraktarevic could explode if he scores two or three at the World Cup'', the PSV watcher says.
For the Bosnian, sums of about twelve million euros have been mentioned so far, but according to the journalist they are no more than speculation. ''In my opinion, that's a shot in the air, but I think such an amount is probably in that ballpark,'' said Elfrink.

In addition, the PSV watcher believes that the club will not just go ahead with a sale of Couhaib Driouech. Driouech has been with PSV for two seasons now, but due in part to the fierce competition on the wings, he has never been able to develop into an undisputed first-team regular.
Elfrink also believes that the value of the winger is underestimated. ''PSV is not a philanthropic organization. Then you don't agree to two million,'' thinks the PSV watcher.

No kidding, the quote about pressing is peak, but do they actually sustain it for 90 minutes? Bro, if it drops after 60, teams will just bait the press then play through. Need that intensity plus clean decisions in the first pass, otherwise it feels mid 💀
"keep it simple" is nice but against teams that press, simple gets punished fast. Need better first-touch tempo from the 6 and fewer sideways passes when it matters, lol.
That quote about being patient in build-up is nice, but we need bite in transition too. Otherwise teams just sit deep and we end up forcing it wide. 🔥
"PSV Inside" always makes it sound like everything is under control, but the midfield balance worries me. If they lose the second ball again, it becomes chaos and Cody Gakpo is too far from the setup to rescue it. That said, the fullbacks overlapping could be a banger if the holding mid stays disciplined 👀
"PSV Inside" really nails it... but tbh the winger decisions still look mid to me. Til the overlaps come earlier, we keep looking predictable in the final third. 👀
Loving the vibe, but where is the plan to deal with their transitions? If PSV want to play this way, they need one extra body covering, not just relying on quick tackles. Otherwise itll be peak pain later in the season 💀
If PSV go with that lineup again, im worried the midfield gets overrun. Saw how easily the press broke, and i think Sangare needs to be more proactive or itll be chaos.
"PSV Inside" really feels like theyre setting up for another title run. But ngl i need to see more end product from the wide areas. Lets go, this has to be the season the chances turn into goals 🔥⚽
If the article is right about PSV going with a more direct build-up, then i actually like it. Xavi Simons dropping into pockets can turn that into instant danger, especially with those late runs into the box. Still, can we please fix the transition defense or we will get punished fast 🔥⚽
If PSV are serious about controlling games, i dont buy this midfield setup. Against teams that press high, those half-spaces will get exposed, and then the defence has to clean up every time. Honestly, im more worried about balance than the individual talent.
I still dont trust PSV's transitions. When the fullback steps up, the winger behind him is getting way too much space and it happened again today, bruh. Ngl, we need more discipline off the ball, not just possession.
That build-up from the back looked way more controlled than in the last few games. If they keep finding space between the lines, Simons is gonna have a field day 🔥⚽
