"PSV will try to sell the flop"

1 min read

In the summer of 2024, PSV managed to take Adamo Nagalo over from the Danish club FC Nordsjælland. For the 23-year-old defender, however, the move has not been a major success, as the Burkinabè has played only twelve official matches so far for Peter Bosz’s team.

Last winter, Nagalo was loaned out on a rental basis to Turkish club Konyaspor. Now, Earnest Stewart will try to sell the defender in the summer.

That is what PSV watcher Tim Reedijk from Voetbal International says. ''That was his intention already last winter, but he didn't manage to do so'', Reedijk said in VI.

In addition, the journalist knows, and Peter Bosz confirmed this last Monday during Rondo on Ziggo Sport, that PSV will be going onto the transfer market next summer for a new defender, since captain Jerdy Schouten will be sidelined for at least nine to twelve months due to a cruciate ligament injury. ''An experienced man cannot be ruled out, although PSV shouldn't have the illusion that Nathan Aké will be tempted into a move. The defender currently has no ambition to return to the Eredivisie,'' the PSV watcher knows.

PSV also wants to give young Fabien Merién a chance during the pre-season due to its ambitions. ''The club has the ambition to have a third of the senior team made up of youth players and hopes, from time to time, to be able to move a youngster up if a gap opens. Merién has been with the senior team weekly already—partly because of injuries and a title win that has been turned into something that can be cashed in'', Reedijk said.
