PSV makes a special decision regarding free transfer of Boadu
1 min readIt was not immediately his best season in the Eredivisie, but at the same time he did show that he could be of value to PSV. Myron Boadu came to PSV with high expectations, showed that he has the necessary potential, but simply struggled with injury.
What is still in the barrel for the striker who could so easily become the first striker under Peter Bosz? For Boadu, it applies that he is almost transfer-free and all options remain open, but his preference lies with PSV, he said recently. PSV has in any case made a remarkable decision, a warm decision in fact. Peter Bosz’s squad will begin preparing for the new season next Monday through the first training session.
The almost transfer-free Myron Boadu will then simply be on the training pitch, reports De Telegraaf. The 25-year-old striker is training for now to work on his fitness and that can be considered special, as a nice gesture. The club knew how to take Boadu from AS Monaco last season for a modest fee. This happened after the injury of Alassane Pléa.
There is still an option on the table to extend Boadu's expiring contract by a year, but the club management has not pushed this through yet. Boadu will therefore be a free agent in nine days. Boadu is therefore, in the meantime, waiting for a new club and for now continues to train with Peter Bosz's team, as mentioned, a particularly special decision.

Boadu played, driven by injuries, seventeen times for PSV last season, three of those matches as a starter. In those games, he scored three goals. The striker previously played for AZ and FC Twente and, as mentioned, for AS Monaco. Boadu would, in principle, still be inclined to stay longer at PSV, but for the time being that does not seem to be the case due to Pléa’s return. A summer departure of Ricardo Pepi will likely prompt PSV to bring in an international top striker.

That quote about being "brave in transition" needs to match the lineup. If the first touch is slow, we get caught and its 0-1 energy... 💀
"We need control" is nice, but tbh control without penetration is just possession for possession's sake. I want to see better runs behind the defence, not just sideways passes.
🔥 Memphis has to take fewer risks in that pocket. Great talent but sometimes it turns into a turnover and then it is instant danger.
Eens. If we play with width and we actually attack the half-spaces, we can punish every high line. PSV shouldnt be afraid to go direct when the ball breaks free. 🔥
That midfield setup sounds risky. With X amount of space between the 6 and the 8, Ajax would love it for those late third-man runs... and then its 2v2s everywhere. 👀
"PSV Inside" is spot on if the goal is to fix the transitions. The fullbacks need to be braver, because you can see how often Ajax-style counters get space behind them. 👀
Idk about the game plan, felt like we were too narrow for long stretches. When Luuk de Jong dropped, the buildup was fine but we still lacked width.
If PSV are planning to keep build-up through the fullback channel, i really want to see more forward runs from the winger. Otherwise it turns into slow recycling and the press just suffocates us.
If PSV keep playing like this in the midfield, Joey Veerman is going to be the key man. That press after losing the ball looked sharp.
