These two PSV players will be in action on Wednesday during the World Cup

The 2026 World Cup is already almost at the final group stage matches. In the night of June 23 to 24, the last group stage matches of the second matchday will be played with Panama - Croatia and Colombia - DR Congo, and on Wednesday evening it’s time to start the final group stage matches.

At 1 o'clock at night Dutch time, Ivan Perisic with Croatia therefore goes into action against Panama. Both countries lost their first match in Group L.

Perisic lost with Croatia in an entertaining duel against England, 4-2, in which the PSV player was good for an assist. Panama seemed on course against Ghana for a historic World Cup point, but in the 95th minute the Ghanaians still won 1-0.

At 9:00 PM Dutch time, the final group matches get underway in Group B. Co-organizer Canada plays against Switzerland in the fight for first place in the group, while Esmir Bajraktarevic’s Bosnia and Herzegovina takes on Qatar with an eye on third place, giving the Balkan country still a chance to advance to the next round as one of the best third-placed teams.

Bajraktarevic and co. eventually lost the second group match without any real chance to Switzerland 4-1 after the Bosnians took a point in the first match against Canada (1-1). Only a win against Qatar gives the Balkan country any hope of advancing to the next round.
