PSV target definitively to Germany, transfer fee known
1 min readDespite the alleged interest of PSV in Belgian talent Nathan De Cat of RSC Anderlecht, the young Belgian is leaving for TSG Hoffenheim in Germany. Sky Sports Deutschland reports that both clubs have reached an agreement.
Only the medical check is still blocking a transfer. Earlier, the Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws had already reported that De Cat had set his sights on a move to the Bundesliga, and the outlet also wrote that the talent had already reached a personal agreement.
Both clubs were still not yet in agreement on the transfer fee. Where Hoffenheim put twenty million on the table, Anderlecht wanted at least 25 million including a sell-on percentage.
However, the Germans will pay an amount of seventeen million euros and that amount can increase further through bonuses. The Belgians have also managed to secure the right to receive a share of the transfer fee when the Belgian makes a new transfer.
Last calendar year, De Cat made his debut with the club from Brussels, where he went through almost the entire youth academy. In the end, the talent went on to make 53 official appearances for the purple-and-whites.

17 miljoen met bonussen is toch best lekker voor Hoffenheim, maar die clausule over doorverkoop is slim van Anderlecht. Voor PSV is dit vooral een waarschuwing: je concurrentie snapt hoe je deals dicht krijgt voor je ze laat lekken naar Duitsland. 💀⚽
"Alleen de medische keuring staat een transfer nog in de weg." Oké dus het is bijna rond. Maar als PSV echt interesse had, waarom lukt het dan niet om die 20-25 miljoen discussie te overbruggen? Hoffenheim rook goede waarde hier.
Dang, we gingen dus voor De Cat maar hij kiest Hoffenheim... 17 miljoen en dan nog bonussen, Anderlecht heeft wel wat teruggepakt op die 25m-eis. Tbh ben benieuwd of PSV nu echt nog marktconform spelers wil halen, want dit ruikt toch naar gemiste boot.
17m for De Cat sounds reasonable, but Anderlecht wanted 25m plus resale. If PSV really had interest, thats a miss... hope we have a better target lined up.
