Heavy competition for PSV in the fight for English talent

1 min read

PSV is also busy on the transfer market despite the fact that the 2026 World Cup is still ongoing. On Monday evening, the club has officially confirmed the arrival of Sven Mijnans, and it has also said goodbye to Ismael Saibari and Anass Salah-Eddine.

My guess is that this will most likely not be PSV’s last purchase for next season. According to the English outlet Football Insider, PSV also has an interest in the eighteen-year-old Mikey Moore from Tottenham Hotspur.

That said, PSV also has to deal with fierce competition from abroad. Among others, Borussia Dortmund and 1. FC Köln would be interested in Moore.

The outlet also reports that both German clubs would want a loan transfer, while PSV would want to enforce a purchase option if a transfer were to take place. Last season, the Englishman came on a loan for Rangers FC in Scotland.

Last season, the eighteen-year-old talent made 47 official appearances for the Glasgow side, in which he contributed seven goals and four assists. At Spurs, Moore has reached 21 official matches to date, in which the talent has been good for a goal and two assists.

Mijnans is a banger signing, maar Mikey Moore lijkt me echt de volgende stap. 7 goals en 4 assists in 47 duels bij Rangers is netjes, alleen die huur-constructie voelt wel als gezeik als Dortmund en Köln ook happen.
