“Key player also in 2026/2027 for PSV”
1 min readDespite alleged interest in Ricardo Pepi, the American will also be a PSV player in the 2026/2027 season. The Eindhovens Dagblad reports this.
Pepe is meanwhile eliminated with Team USA from the World Cup on home soil and is now enjoying three weeks of vacation before returning to PSV. In March, the American seemed set to move for an amount of 38 million euros to Fulham FC, but that transfer was ultimately called off at the very last moment.
At the last World Cup, Pepi mainly had to make do with a spot as a substitute and the PSV forward was allowed to come on as a substitute. In recent weeks, the forward has also been linked with a move to Juventus.
Now according to the ED, however, nothing concrete is being reported about a possible transfer. As a result, the newspaper expects the American to continue wearing PSV’s red-and-white jersey as well next season.

In 2023, Pepi from FC Augsburg joined PSV and in his first season the top scorer was primarily a substitute striker behind Luuk de Jong. After De Jong left in the summer of 2025, Pepi seemed to be heading for a spot as first-choice striker, but the American had a lot of bad luck last season due to injuries.
Despite this, the attacker still managed to impress enough and in a number of phases was very important for Peter Bosz's team. Thus, Pepi was the match-winner on 7 March 2026 in the home match against AZ (2-1) and the American was also responsible for a goal against Ajax (2-2) after 36 seconds.
