Well-known Ajax duo is upset about Mijnans’ transfer to PSV
1 min readIt will almost certainly not have gone unnoticed that Sven Mijnans was presented by PSV on Monday as their first signing for the 2026/2027 season. PSV is putting thirteen million euros on the table for Mijnans and has secured him through the summer of 2031.
Despite a lot of interest from abroad, the midfielder’s choice ultimately came down to PSV. In addition, Ajax was also interested in Mijnans and, according to PSV watcher Rik Elfrink, the Amsterdammers even tried to snatch the deal at the last moment.
In Amsterdam, people are especially annoyed by the fact that the midfielder has chosen PSV over Ajax. The same goes for Ajax supporters Lawrence de Munck and Maarten Vledder, also known as the duo Kale & Kokkie.

Also, Kokkie thinks that AZ, no matter what, would have prevented Mijnans from going to Ajax. "Míchel has already spoken with Mijnans, who, incidentally, chooses PSV. And I think AZ would also... Even if they were willing to pay the same amount, then he wouldn't go to Ajax," said the Ajax fan.
After that, Kale steps in. ''AZ would also have preferred that he go abroad, but he himself had a preference for PSV'', after which Kokkie says: ''What we just already said to each other: I would have liked to have him along'', so the Ajax duo concludes.

Brengt het duo Kale & Kokkie naar voren hoe "schijtirritant" het is, maar ze vergeten dat PSV hem ook wil omdat het past. Tbh als AZ echt hem toch wel zou "voorkomen", was Ajax dus sowieso niet de enige remmende factor... 🤡
"Ajax al gesprekken met een speler heeft gevoerd" klinkt alsof Kale & Kokkie vooral boos zijn omdat ze te laat waren. Als PSV echt 13M legt en hij kiest zelf voor ons, dan is dat gewoon aantoonbaar sportieve overtuiging en niet pech.
Ze willen hem "liever bij AZ of buitenland" maar uiteindelijk kiest hij PSV, dus ja, begrijpelijk dat het pijn doet bij Kale & Kokkie. Ik denk dat Rik Elfrink gelijk heeft, Amsterdam dacht de deal op het laatste moment nog te kapen en faalde. 🔥⚽
Mensen, het is de afgelopen jaren niet vaak voorgekomen dat we niet wisten dat Ajax al gesprekken met een speler heeft gevoerd... Ja daarom koop je blijkbaar toch pas in je eigen hoofd 😂 PSV is gewoon sneller. 2031 erbij maken het ook meteen een statement.

Kale & Kokkie die doen alsof ze het konden zien aankomen, maar dan pakken ze alsnog zuur uit. Als PSV hem vastlegt tot 2031 en hij kiest PSV, dan is dat gewoon keuze- en ambitieverschil.

13 miljoen voor een middenvelder... tbh ik snap de frustratie bij Ajax, maar het voelt wel alsof PSV gewoon beter onderhandeld heeft. Wel jammer dat Mijnans niet koos voor de Amsterdamse chaos.
