PSV, alongside German and English clubs, in the race for midfielder FC Bayern
1 min readIn recent years, PSV, among other things, managed to acquire Malik Tillman from FC Bayern München and last summer Paul Wanner came to PSV from southern Germany. Now, the club management is reportedly showing interest again in a player from Der Rekordmeister.
Transfermarkt journalist Jonas Uchter has in fact brought the news to light that PSV would have an interest in taking over the attacking midfielder Arijon Ibrahimović (not related to Zlatan). This season, the midfielder was loaned out by Die Bayern to the relegated FC Heidenheim.
Ibrahimovic represents, according to Transfermarkt, a value of about ten million euros. The German youth international can also still play as a right and left winger.
PSV is certainly not the only club that is monitoring Ibrahimovic’s development. Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in the midfielder.
In Germany too, there would be considerable interest in the German. Among others, Werder Bremen, FC Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart and TSG Hoffenheim would like to sign the midfielder.

The line about him being able to play right and left winger makes it more interesting than a straight midfield target. Still, with Heidenheim relegated and several Premier League clubs involved, i expect wages and competition to be the real test. PSV might need to move fast or accept itll be picked by England.

Eens dat Bayern telkens verhuurt en dan zien ze PSV als een etalage. Arijon lijkt me wel wat, maar al die clubs uit Duitsland plus Engeland betekent dat PSV hem niet goedkoop krijgt. Smh, wij gaan waarschijnlijk weer moeten bieden als PSV serieus is.

"aanvallende middenvelder" klinkt mooi, maar ik wil hem vooral in de basisspelers zien als we weer achterin ruimte moeten weggeven. Kan hij druk zetten en echt schakelen, of blijft het vooral technische klasse? Als hij alleen kan voetballen in de aanval dan is het risico wel groter. 💯
Fulham en Brighton erbij maakt het wel lastig, die pakken dit soort "talent met marktwaarde" vaak slim aan. Maar goed, PSV heeft Tillman en Wanner laten zien dat Bayern-spelers niet meteen onmogelijk zijn. 🚀

Tien miljoen voor een aanvallende middenvelder die bij Heidenheim is verhuurd vind ik niet gek, maar het hangt er vanaf of hij zich bij ons snel doorzet. Anders wordt het weer zo'n project dat 1 seizoen piekt en daarna moet wennen. Ik twijfel nog, tbh.
If PSV really goes for Arijon Ibrahimovic, that is a smart profile. Versatile attacker-mid and those Bayern links with Tillman and Wanner could help. But 10m isnt cheap, especially with Fulham, Palace and Brighton in the mix.
Arijon Ibrahimović is precies zo'n speler die ons middenveld tempo geeft, en hij kan ook vleugel. Als PSV echt met Bayern die concurrentie ingaat dan wordt dit een echte transfer battle. 👀⚽
