Open application to a PSV transfer?: “They can bring me in as a replacement for Saibari”
1 min readThe chance seems fairly high that Ismael Saibari will leave for the coming summer after a strong season at PSV. That is why the PSV board will also go onto the transfer market to look for a replacement for the midfielder.
René van der Gijp recently spoke in the podcast KieftJansenEgmondGijp about Younes Taha as a possible replacement for other PSV player(s). ''He said that I could replace Veerman'', the on-loan player from FC Twente looks back in the podcast Inside The Box
Taha, who is under contract with FC Twente, will be loaned out this season by FC Groningen and the Moroccan midfielder is making a good impression on the team of Dick Lukkien. Whereas Taha played primarily as a right winger in Enschede, he plays as an attacking midfielder at the Euroborg.
That suits the Moroccan excellently. ''At Volendam I scored on eight. Then I went to PEC Zwolle and scored on ten, and since then I have always filled it in that way. I prefer being on ten. They may come get me as a replacement for Saibari,'' Taha continues.
Still, Taha is trying not to place too much value on Gijp's words. "It's nice when people say good things about you, but in the media there are also plenty of critical things about me. I try not to pay too much attention to that. I try to just perform in every match and get the best out of myself," says the midfielder about it.
Despite this, he would still be interested in a transfer to PSV. ''I think that kit will suit me well,'' says Taha firmly, who is then advised by his current teammate Mats Seuntjens. ''Just finish the season nicely here; you also still have a contract with FC Twente.''

If Saibari goes, Taha as his replacement sounds logical, especially with that 10-role he keeps talking about. I just hope PSV doesnt sell him and then delays the new mid until its too late in the window.
