“Negotiations aren’t going smoothly” | Transfer fee for Mauro Júnior is on the street: “What a pittance”
1 min readWill Mauro Júnior actually choose another club this summer? The Brazilian in fact can hardly be missed, but it seems this summer he is open to a transfer to another club. In any case, it does not have to be an excessively high amount because it seems quite to fall short of what will have to be put on the table for Mauro Júnior.
In fact, the buyout sum in Mauro Júnior's contract is out on the street because Eindhovens Dagblad reports news about this buyout sum. And it is significantly lower than the previously mentioned eighteen million euros, Eindhovens Dagblad reports. The amount would be around twelve million euros. Whether the Brazilian actually leaves 'is still a matter of uncertainty', says the regional newspaper.
The more than concrete interest in Mauro Júnior could well mean that the Brazilian will end up playing somewhere else next season this summer. Het Eindhovens Dagblad has meanwhile confirmed that it concerns a sum of twelve million euros. PSV wants to quickly break open Mauro Júnior’s contract and demand this so that the clause is also removed from the contract.
The negotiations between PSV and the agent would currently be 'not exactly running all that smoothly'. Sevilla, Leeds United, Real Betis Sevilla, Como and FC Porto want to take over Mauro Júnior from PSV. On X, PSV fans can't believe that Mauro Júnior is allowed to leave PSV for such a low amount, 'a pittance'. More later.

PSV moet met lager dan gedacht bedrag genoegen nemen voor Mauro, als een nieuwe club hem weet te verleiden. Het is geen 18 miljoen en ook geen 15, maar 12. En PSV wil die clausule 'weg' hebben. Zie: https://t.co/6chQVOcMTH https://t.co/6chQVOcMTH

Eens. If the coach sticks with that pressing trigger, i want Gakpo to stay higher and not come too deep. Otherwise we end up defending with the ball, and that is asking for trouble. 👀🤬
"We have to be brave" is fair, but bravery without control is chaos. I want to see PSV press earlier in phases, win it, then punish immediately. Otherwise it will be one of those games where you feel good but dont get the points. 🤬
"PSV's intensity" ok but intensity without control is just chaos. We need someone in the pivot who receives clean and turns, otherwise it turns into hoofball. 🤬
Quote from the piece: "PSV will look for pace in transition." Fair, but tbh we are not lethal enough when the ball gets turned over near our box. If the article means Sangare is starting the breaks, then we need better support runners in the half-spaces. 🚀
I think the midfield balance is off. Sangare as a lone screen is okay, but if Simons isnt shielding the back line too, PSV will concede transition goals. It feels risky but could be fire if it clicks. 🔥
BRO that quote about being "ruthless in the box" better turn into 2-3 big chances. If they keep finishing like last week, this turns into another annoying draw. 💀
Eens. PSV can look unbeatable until the moment the build-up gets forced wide. Then it's all crosses and hope... and we both know how that ends. 😂
Max de Wijk needs to stop drifting inside so much. When he pulls out, the fullback is left alone and the press breaks down. That could be a real problem if PSV come out flat early.
Wenn PSV keep control in the midfield, we are dangerous. But i still think our right side gets bypassed too easily, teams just target that channel. Fix that and the title race looks very comfortable. 🔥⚽
Swear the gameplan depended too much on one side. Once the opponent adjusted, we lost momentum and it became predictable. Need more variety in the build-up, otherwise this is just mid. 💀
Defensively we look shaky on counters. If they play faster through the lines, Tillman/Veerman has to be sharper with the first pass. Otherwise this is gonna get ugly.
I actually liked how they moved the ball quicker in the half-spaces, especially from the right. But if our defensive transitions stay sloppy, that style will cost us. tbh this feels a bit like "attack first, fix later". 🔥
If PSV really want to press like that, it better be coordinated. When the back line steps up without the midfield, teams will carve us open fast. 👀
"pressing triggers in the first 15 minutes" yeah but can we keep it without gassing everyone by the 60th? 🔥
"We want to control the tempo" but when they slow it down, Willem II will park the bus all game. Tbh they need more direct switches to the wings, not endless recycling in midfield. 👀
If PSV starts like that again, Luuk is gonna be the difference. Honestly though, we need more control in midfield, otherwise it turns into 1 v 1 chaos every time.
If PSV are playing that high line again, i just know the counterattacks will hurt. Im hoping Xavi Simons gets more touches between the lines, that pass to the runner has to be a pattern.
