Millions in profit beckon—will the interested La Liga club contact PSV?

1 min read

If it does indeed come to a transfer this summer, there’s a chance for PSV to make millions, because he will certainly deliver the necessary millions. However, is it time to move on, or is there still more in store for the player who still captivates the imagination in Liverpool and Naples?

In Eindhoven, however, he certainly does manage to spark the imagination, because thanks to his goals, his play, and his attitude, Peter Bosz's team still managed quite regularly to rise to the occasion at moments that certainly mattered. Couhaib Driouech is now drawing interest from Celta de Vigo. That reports the Eindhovens Dagblad.

The Eindhoven Dagblad reports that La Liga club Celta de Vigo is concretely interested in the winger with potential. 'That club would now mainly be looking to loan out the winger-forward, while PSV only seems open to a sale. A complicating factor is that the 24-year-old attacker still has to bring in a few million based on his performances,' the regional newspaper reports.

In the past season, Driouech came into action forty times for PSV, which can still be considered very positive numbers. Nine scored goals and eight assists are therefore to his name, meaning that when he is sold there is a potential million-euro profit for PSV. According to Transfermarkt, he has a market value of €7.5 million, because Driouech’s contract runs until mid-2029.

If the plan was to keep the winger pinned, fair. But when they start cutting inside, Luuk-style runs or no runs, you need the fullback to show early. Otherwise it turns into free crosses all day... 🤡

Tbh i just hope PSV push the tempo earlier. When we wait until the 70th minute to attack, it turns into chaos and not control. Give the ball earlier and let Guus/Erik's plan breathe.

I swear i saw that "brings energy in tight spaces" line and thought of Til, he always turns pressure into something. But if he starts too far wide, he disappears...

That PSV pressing talk sounds nice, but imo we looked vulnerable in the half-spaces way too often. If the article is right about the tactics, then the first thing to fix is the spacing when the ball gets recycled.

If PSV go with that same midblock again, teams will keep probing that space behind the fullbacks. Need more compactness, especially when the ball is recycled slowly.
