I really like how the article highlights PSV's buildup. When they keep it calm and rotate into the half-spaces, everything looks way more dangerous.
I get the positivity, but the piece kind of glossed over how often we lose the ball in midfield. If we want to win the bigger games, those turnovers can't keep happening.
If PSV really commit to high pressing like the article suggests, that could fix so many of those slow starts. I just hope they keep the midfield compact, otherwise we give easy transitions away.
Really liked the mention of the fullbacks stepping up, because that is where PSV can create overloads. But if the winger on that side does not track back, it will be chaos for Dumfries and friends.
The tactics talk is nice, but I want to see numbers. How many chances did they create from those patterns, and did it translate into goals for the big games? Still, the potential is exciting.
