Another confirmation: Specifically, Napoli targets PSV
1 min readReal interest from Napoli in goalkeeper Matej Kovar. How seriously should we take that interest? In Naples, there has always been some trust in PSV players, and that is also logical to say.
Just take a look, PSV typically plays Champions League football and therefore the players who develop under Peter Bosz gain a lot of experience at the highest level. Last week it was already reported from Italy that there was interest in Kovar, but this week that news is confirmed once again.
This week, transfer journalist Nicolò Schira once again reports that the interest can be called concrete, although there is still no proposal on the table from Italy for PSV and Kovar. The Czech goalkeeper is well regarded by the Italian top club. This is partly due to a possible outgoing transfer of Alex Meret or Vanja Milinković-Savić.
According to the fairly well-known transfer journalist Schira, Kovar can count on 'serious interest' from Napoli, but no bid has yet been made from Italy for the PSV goalkeeper. Last season, Kovar was loaned by PSV for part of the season from Bayer Leverkusen. An accounting arrangement at Bayer Leverkusen had the goalkeeper transferred to PSV only in January, after the option to buy for five million euros was exercised.

It is still unclear whether PSV is open to a departure of Kovar. The Czech international still has a contract in Eindhoven until mid-2030. His transfer value is estimated at eight million euros, but Peter Bosz would like to start the new season with the international from the Czech Republic.

If PSV actually played with that intensity up front, then Bakayoko is gonna be the difference. I just hope they dont overcommit and leave the fullbacks exposed again.
