A swap deal with Napoli? 'PSV must propose a swap deal'
1 min readFor some days now, if not weeks, there has been buzz about rumors of the club’s interest in Noa Lang for goalkeeper Matej Kovar. The Italian interest appears to be serious. So serious that the president of Napoli will go watch a match of Kovar at the World Cup.
For now it seems to be only rumours, but Napoli is certainly keen to do business with PSV. The Italian club knows what it gets from negotiations with PSV and also knows that the players who have played for PSV have experience at the highest level. It’s all about the price, the pressure is high, and in addition PSV often plays Champions League football beyond the winter break.
In short, interesting for Napoli to shop with PSV. But now a swap deal, so... The medium explains it and you take your own conclusion further, knowing that Kovar will not be missed right away if the PSV goalkeeper leaves again after only one season.
'PSV must propose a swap deal if Napoli comes calling for Matej Kovar!', reports the outlet FootballTransfers but on what basis actually and how does the outlet arrive at this? Is it made up out of thin air or is it spot on?

'Matej Kovar is on Napoli's radar, after he secured the Dutch league title with PSV as their first-choice goalkeeper last season. With the Czech Republic, the 26-year-old goalkeeper will take part in the World Cup, and at the country's opening match against South Korea the club's management from Napoli will also be in attendance', reports FT.
'If, after the World Cup, Napoli has become convinced of Kovar’s qualities and wants to start negotiations with PSV, then the Eindhoven side will likely have to think about a swap deal. Alex Meret of the Italian top club seems, in terms of playing style, to resemble Kovar a great deal and has a high Club Fit with PSV, while he also still only has a contract until mid-2027 in Naples,' the analysis says regarding an unlikely swap deal.
