The World Championship has already become a certainty; the transfer value will increase significantly.

1 min read

Bosnia and Herzegovina has, as the first participating country for the FIFA World Cup, released its squad. PSV player Esmir Bajraktarevic is one of the players who the Balkan country may represent on the world stage this coming summer.

Bajraktarevic was also of great importance to the Bosnian team during the qualifying run. The winger was, in the home match against direct rival Romania (3-1) on 15 November 2025, responsible for a world-class goal, and in the final of the play-offs it was up to the PSV player to send the Balkan country to the World Cup.

Bajraktarevic scored in the penalty shootout against four-time world champions Italy the decisive penalty, enabling the Bosnians for the first time since 2014 to qualify for the World Cup again. At the World Cup, Bajraktarevic and his teammates will take on co-host Canada, Switzerland and Qatar in Group B.

As a PSV fan I am hyped, but I want to see the manager back him tactically. If he is asked to do the same winger work every match, his impact might drop, even with big confidence from qualifying.

Bajraktarevic in Group B, Canada, Switzerland, Qatar, that's a real mix. If Bosnia can get results early, he might rack up minutes and momentum. Honestly sounds like the perfect shop window.

Bajraktarevic in Group B is a decent draw, Canada and Qatar should be winnable, Switzerland is the test. Also, Bosnia winning after all that play-off pressure, that's proper big-game mentality.

That line about him scoring in the play-off finale and then tucking in the penalty vs Italy... that is the definition of clutch. If PSV uses him right, he could be a real asset this summer.

Bajraktarevic being part of the first Bosnian World Cup squad since 2014 is massive. Poule B also looks tricky with Canada, Switzerland, and Qatar, so hopefully he gets real minutes and not just cameo duty.

Fair play to him, especially that penalty against Italy. Still, I hope PSV fans will see the same tempo and decision making when he comes back, not just highlight reel stuff.

World Cup in the summer is no joke, but he's still only just starting to show consistency at this level. If PSV want to push further, they need that hunger every week, not just when Bosnia calls.

It's exciting for sure, but I am already thinking about what it means for PSV's preseason. If he plays a lot for Bosnia, we need him to not come back cooked. Still, big credit for carrying them in the play-offs.

Love seeing Bajraktarevic get that kind of stage. The goal vs Romania and that winning penalty vs Italy is proper clutch stuff. Hope he brings the same confidence back to PSV.

Nice reward for him, but I hope PSV can keep him fresh. International games and that kind of pressure can take a lot out of a winger, especially if he is still expected to start week in, week out.

Great news for him, but I do worry about the timing with PSV pre-season. International tournaments can mess with rhythm. Hopefully they manage his minutes well so he is ready right away for the league.

Love seeing a PSV guy like Bajraktarevic get that big WK nod. That penalty against Italy was ice cold, and the Roemenië game goal just shows he can deliver when it matters.

Love seeing PSV boys make it to the World Cup, and that rocket vs Romania was unreal. If Bajraktarevic keeps that hunger, Bosnia can really cause problems in Group B.

Love seeing a PSV boy like Bajraktarevic making the World Cup. That penalty against Italy must have felt unreal. If he brings that confidence back to Eindhoven, we will be scary on the wings.
