PSV sees transfer value increase
1 min readSince the summer of 2024, Couhaib Driouech may call himself a PSV player. The quick winger joined in 2024 from Excelsior and, since his move to PSV, has mainly had to make do with substitute appearances.
This is also partly due to the fierce competition in recent seasons on the left-wing position. Last season, Driouech in particular had to make way for Noa Lang, and this season the winger Ivan Perisic must make way for him.
Last season, Driouech proved especially his worth in the Champions League. The left winger scored a world-class goal in the home match against Napoli (6-2), and the forward managed to score twice at Anfield Road and, thanks in part to that, PSV won 1-4 against Liverpool FC.
Because of this, the value of Driouech has increased. According to the website Transfermarkt, the winger is now worth 7.5 million euros and that is an increase of one and a half million euros compared to the winter break. Last summer, his value was still only four million euros.
Despite the fact that the winger has a contract until mid-2029, it is not ruled out that Driouech leaves this summer. This season, Driouech appeared in forty matches, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.

"vooral hebben van reservebeurten" is dus de kern van het probleem. In wedstrijden waar PSV moet domineren, mis ik soms die startpositie voor hem. 1,5 miljoen stijging is nice, maar ik wil zien dat hij vaker begint en minder afhankelijk is van blessures.
I get the valuation, but i still see him as a squad player behind Lang and now Perisic. 40 games for 9 + 8 is good, just need more consistency in league weeks. 👀
i mean, als je moet concurreren met Lang en Perisic dan snap je dat minuten beperkt blijven. Maar 9 goals en 8 assists in 40 is geen mietje, dus als ze nu weer een bod krijgen deze zomer, zou het me niet verbazen.
Dat werelddoelpunt tegen Napoli en die dubbele tegen Liverpool wegen zwaarder dan heel het competitiedossier. Transferspectrum klopt ook: van 4 miljoen naar 7,5 miljoen in een jaar is best een sprong. Alleen ben ik benieuwd of PSV hem kan doorselecteren in de komende speelstijl.
i mean 40 wedstrijden, 9 goals, 8 assists is solid. Maar als hij weer vooral invaller is, blijft PSV hem verkopen voor maximaal geld. Perisic en Lang wegshuffle, dan krijgt Driouech ineens weer krediet.
Driouech op 7,5 miljoen is wel terecht, die CL momenten tegen Napoli en Liverpool waren echt clutch 🔥. Maar eerlijk, in de competitie moet hij het toch vaker brengen, die reservebeurten blijven zonde.

7,5 miljoen is lekker, maar tbh je ziet nog te weinig consistentie in de basis. Toch die CL goals vs Napoli en Liverpool waren echt peak. Als hij dit tempo in de Eredivisie haalt, dan is hij zo 10+ waard.
