PSV forward speaks out: “I hope that will happen.”

1 min read

Since his arrival at PSV in the summer of 2024, Couhaib Driouech has had to rely primarily on substitute appearances, partly due to the fierce competition in the left winger position. In the 2024/2025 season, Driouech mainly had to make room for Noa Lang, and last season it was Ivan Perisic who was given the preference.

It is therefore by no means out of the question that PSV will proceed with the sale of the left winger, who has openly indicated that he wants to play more. The same is true in the podcast WK Mixed Zone.

''It is not a lie that I would really like to play and get more minutes. I said: preferably at PSV. And if that’s not the case, then elsewhere. I hope that will happen,'' the forward is candid.

In recent weeks, it emerged that PSV is demanding at least seven million euros for the left winger. Among others, Genoa FC and Celta de Vigo would be interested in taking over Driouech.

Yet according to the attacker himself, nothing concrete is happening yet regarding a transfer. ''If that were the case, you would have known about it, I think. For now I'm just at PSV,'' says the winger.

''I am also super happy at PSV, but I do want to make more minutes and put myself more in the spotlight'', said Driouech.
