Just before halftime, Petar Musa could score the 2-2 from a pass by Perisic, and for the PSV player this assist meant a record, since the versatile Croatian now has given at least one assist at four different World Cups.
Even on social media, fans are wildly enthusiastic about the 37-year-old PSV player. Not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad, many people have high praise for Perisic.

I know they lost 4-2, but Perisic still influenced the game when it mattered. The record about assists across four different World Cups is so on-brand for him at PSV. If he stays this sharp, PSV can ride that experience all season.
That assist to Musa was pure quality, timing was perfect before halftime. Even in a 4-2 loss you could still see why Perisic is a nightmare to defend. 4 different World Cups with an assist is crazy, tbh.
