Bosz empathizes with PSV player: “That’s the football world.”

Armando Obispo almost left last week on his way to leave PSV for RC Lens. Last weekend, Obispo also said farewell to his teammates and to coach Peter Bosz.

Now the defender’s transfer has fallen through and, as a result, Obispo has returned to the PSV squad that is on a training camp in Germany. Peter Bosz is hugely sympathizing with the defender after his transfer to France’s number 2 did not go through at the last moment.

This tells the PSV training coach in conversation with Voetbal International. ''I think we can all imagine how difficult this is for him. Saturday he came to say goodbye. He was already in Lens and in the end it still didn’t go through. And then you’re there again on Wednesday. That is the football world, which is sometimes surreal,'' Bosz says.

The coach also understands that there is a lot of disappointment at Obispo now that his transfer has been called off. ''You never really notice much about him; he keeps to himself and is quite inward, but I can very well imagine that this is a huge blow that he has to process for a while. Monday evening in Lens and Wednesday afternoon again here—then a lot goes through your mind,'' continues the coach.

Despite the fact that Obispo has returned to the PSV squad selection, it is still not ruled out that the defender may leave during this transfer period. ''I discussed it with him as well. He himself also felt that this was a good moment. Who knows, if something else comes along, it could still happen'', Bosz said.
