Analyst hopes for Peter Bosz: 'Has the most experience'

The KNVB must look for a new national team coach since Ronald Koeman announced on Tuesday evening that the manager will step down as coach of the Netherlands national team after Oranje was eliminated from the World Cup by Morocco. In the meantime, several names are being put forward as candidates for the national team coaching position.

Among others, Arne Slot, Pep Guardiola and Erik ten Hag are free. The latter opened the door slightly a while ago during the TV program WK Avond on NOS.

Arne Slot, after his dismissal from Liverpool FC, is for the time being without an employer and is therefore for many football fans also the ideal candidate to become the new national team coach. Nevertheless, a call is still coming from fans to ask Peter Bosz.

Bosz extended his contract earlier this year until 2028 and therefore no longer seems to be an option for the KNVB. Nevertheless, Ziggo Sport analyst Jan van Halst hopes that Zeist will still reach out to the current PSV coach.

Van Halst says this to the sports broadcaster. ''My dream candidate is Peter Bosz'', the analyst begins emphatically.

''He has also turned out to be a coach who can get along well with players, although Arne Slot and Erik ten Hag can do that as well. He has the most experience. He is battle-hardened. And I also think that he is truly someone from the Dutch school. So no, if you really want me to let choose, then I would say Peter Bosz.
