“PSV rental deals wrapped up as quickly as possible”

1 min read

PSV talent Tygo Land also seems set to arrive on loan next season for FC Groningen. The Eindhovens Dagblad will reveal the news on Wednesday.

Last season, Land already played on loan with the Groningers and managed to earn a spot in the starting lineup with the formation coached by Dick Lukkien after a somewhat disappointing start. As a result, De Trots van het Noorden had already hinted earlier that it also intends to call on the PSV player next season.

Both PSV and the midfielder seem open to a new loan spell for Land, who is still under contract in Eindhoven until the summer of 2029. Earlier, the PSV player also indicated he was open to staying longer at FC Groningen.

In addition to Land, goalkeeper Niek Schiks will also be loaned out by PSV for the coming season. Earlier, it was already clear that KKD club and provincial counterpart RKC Waalwijk was interested in borrowing the goalie.

PSV is virtually settled with the Waalwijkers over a season-long loan period. In addition, the goalkeeper, who made his debut on 8 February in the away match against FC Groningen (1-2) and kept Peter Bosz’s team on their feet, will extend his contract until mid-2028.

"PSV inside" really nailed it: if the pressing traps the first pass, everything looks 10x cleaner. But when the press breaks, our build-up turns shaky, ngl 👀🔥

Goal!! If the article is about creating more chances from wide areas, PSV should lean into it immediately. Our best moments this season came when the overlaps were actually coordinated, not just random runs 💯⚽

I think the key is the right back. If he holds the line and doesnt chase every dribble, our pressing becomes sustainable. Otherwise we look great for 20 minutes and then crumble

ngl, watching this PSV talk feels like a warning sign. If the defense steps up and the midfield is a second too slow, teams will punish them every time in behind 🤡

Where is the intensity from the first 15 minutes? It took too long to get going, and you can see why big teams punish that... Also, substitutions felt late, imo.

De Ligt reading the game is class, but i still think we give too many free lanes when the fullback steps up. Need better cover, thats not tactical bravery, thats gambling 😅

The best thing for PSV is getting those quick combinations in the half-spaces. But if the striker keeps dropping too deep, we lose the late runs, and that kills the overloads in the box 🔥

"PSV are looking to press higher" is good, but i worry they press with the wrong timing. If the winger jumps too early, the fullback gets exposed and it becomes 1-2 passes to danger 😅

If this is really the plan, i like the courage, but we need more control in midfield. When the ball gets turned there, it usually ends in a transition goal for the opponent...

If PSV are serious about dominating the midfield, we need a real connector between the double pivot and the wingers. Right now it feels like attacks start late, then everyone panics.
