PSV demands 40 million euros for defender
1 min readLast summer, Yarek Gasiorowski made the switch from Valencia CF to PSV and the young Spanish-Polish defender had to make one forget about Olivier Boscagli, who left on a free transfer as a result. Gasiorowski made a good impression especially in the first part of this season.
In the Champions League, however, the young defender made two crucial mistakes that gave PSV a goal against. In the home match against Atletico Madrid (2-3), Gasiorowski was asleep, which allowed the ball to be taken from him and the Spaniards ultimately drew level at 1-1 shortly before halftime.
In the away match on the road at Newcastle United (3-0), the defender played the ball back to goalkeeper Matej Kovar too short, which provided The Magpies with the 2-0. Partly because of this, coach Peter Bosz decided to give Armando Obispo preference regularly during the remainder of the season.
Mounir Boualin of Soccernews.nl was already able to report at the start of this calendar year that PSV would want to collect more than forty million euros for the young defender. Gasiorowski would among other things be on the radar of Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Now transfer journalist Ekrem Konur reports that English Brentford, which showed interest in Joey Veerman last summer, would also have interest in Gasiorowski. For now, it seems PSV does not want to let the young center-back go just like that.
